The purpose of my proposal is to prevent preditors from coming to the forum
In a place without KYC, age limits are useless. How about we disallow predators from joining, instead of kids who are interested in the possible future of money?

What is the official age limit here to register an account? If anybody knows please post here.
Under US law, I've often seen an age limit of 13 years, this applies to many things, from forums to chats. For WhatsApp, it's 16+. For Facebook and Google, it's 13+. None of that stops kids from joining.
I always assumed this restriction was because they don't have a creditcard yet.

Interesting, the post ownership is changed to "Guest". I haven't seen that in years!
@theymos should change the post ownership in this thread too because @everyone even @OP itself describing his personal stuff here.

It is not necessary to disallow predators from joining. If we don't want preditors to join, we can simply remove the incentives a preditor might have to join the forum. Some preditors might join anyway, but they will probably not prey on kids on the forum.

If someone is talking about their homework, IMO they are more likely to be in their 20's than a softmore or a freshman in high school (at least on these forums). So if someone is a freshman in high school, talking about homework, a potential predator would have no idea how old they are, and the person would most likely be an adult. This means this person is not going to get preyed on (hopefully).

I think the method you suggest is definitely one way to look at the situation, for the OP to grow and be tough but they are still a child.

I think the best course of action for now would be to advise the OP to seek some sort of help by speaking to an adult family member or a school teacher to address the gambling issue. It seems a child is gambling using crypto and it is not either a priority or concern to members of the forum and that cannot be right.

What is the official age limit here to register an account? If anybody knows please post here.

If you read the messages of this "child", then he has been on the Internet for a long time. Read his posts that he is some kind of developer out there since 10 years old, and is trying to sell on the network using anonymity.
Is this a child who is very defenseless? In this case, let's be educators since his parents are not involved in raising him.
I know what I'm talking about. Children on the Internet are not quite children, men are not quite men, that is, people are not always who they say they are. I am always skeptical about this.
Once he got to this forum, as LoyceV said, I used the wrong meaning of "adult forum", then he quite knows where and how to ignore or simply not respond to someone who is unpleasant to him.
The theme was created to bring him a handkerchief. The kid lacks attention.

I understand the situation a little bit better now after reading your post.

I have not looked in the background information of the OP or tried to verify his claims but his age is stated in the neutral feedback and by his own admission he was allegedly involved with coding which at the time would have put him at around (as you correctly stated) 10 years old and there not many in the forum who would believe that and even so there is no way to ascertain what he says it true or otherwise.

I am beginning to feel the same as you stated: "people are not always who they say they are" therefore on that note I am making my final post in this thread.

I am a .NET developer meaning I develop exclusively Windows apps. I have been doing this for 3.5 Years, that also translates to my prices being low here are my prices

Commonly wanted/payed for applications for me to develop:

-Auto-Buyer for sites like newegg/bestbuy/ebay etc
-Chat bots I CAN write discord bots if thats what you want
-Bing Search Bot, Microsoft Bing pays in Amazon gift cards for using their search engine, so with a bot searching over and over again, you can make good money in amazon cards.
-Remote Admin tools for smaller teams/companies
-------------------All of these are only $50 in ETH or BTC----------------------------------------------

Anything custom is $75

Payments are done half upfront, buyer pays the fees I expect to receive my full payment at the end

DM me or reply to this post if you are interested!

During my time in the forum I have never come across a post such as the one used by the OP. If what has been mentioned is true then it really is creepy.

I still have my doubts about that. The OP never provided any evidence to back up his claims. I think he's just some kind of attention-seeker.

What is the official age limit here to register an account? If anybody knows please post here.

It doesn't seem to exist at all. The unofficial list of (official) Bitcointalk.org rules and guidelines doesn't mention an age limit for registration, so I'm assuming it doesn't exist then.
