I'm not surprised since Jack has been a bitcoin advocates since the beginning.

What surprises me though is that it's kinda late, I mean he could have roll this out in 2017 where he was really pushing for bitcoin adoption. Anyhow, let's see how it goes, might be good in the long run and maybe we can see who amongst the crypto influences would received the most tips at the end of the year. If this will push thru, USA market alone is big. They are actually the leading country when it comes to bitcoin trading volume last year. IMO, the impact will be positive because backing for bitcoin means acceptance.
We already know that there are people who are unaware of how bitcoin works as well as empathy and rejection. But while bitcoin is trending many times on Twitter the community communicates.

I am eager to see it work, the time we are living is key for adoption.

Maybe, but I'm not sure, because although USA is rich and an enthusiast of bitcoin, the tipping feature seems more suitable and popular among third world countries' citizens who join in crypto currency advertisement campaigns and giveaways. It would be a huge success if it was disponible for them, and I believe even more people would adopt bitcoin to participate in such tasks from that moment on as a trusted social media (in the eyes of the average internet user) like twitter supports it. I say that because a tip for an US citizen is nothing, but for someone living in a poor country it's a decent amount that worths to be collected and saved.

It was expected so far since Jack Dorsey is a Bitcoin fan. I don't think the effect of Bitcoin tips on Twitter will impact much on Bitcoin price. And we have already seen that there is no impact, rather than Bitcoin dumping more. However, dumping isn't related to Twitter itself, it's just the normal behavior of Bitcoin. Tips aren't enabled for all the country and are limited to only a few locations. That's the reason why not much impact on the Bitcoin price. But definitely, it's a strong Bitcoin adaption and it will introduce Bitcoin to more people. I will happier if Twitter allow their user to use Bitcoin during running ads. That would be more adaption.

So far, of course, the impact we expect is an increasing adoption rate, in addition to FUD which is currently rocking prices due to China behavior. We still have high hopes when Dorsey can really provide a big boost to Bitcoin's growth. For now, there is still no significant impact, but everything is in the planning stage which is quite mature. Aside from publicity stunts that the platform could provide, twitter had also made rounds last week stating that they will somehow integrate payments on twitter through bitcoin, not really so sure if the payments were for the "Spaces" feature that they are still working on to this day or for something else but this means that they are in support for bitcoin and cryptocurrencies in general. Yeah but then again publicity could only get you so far when the rest of the world is already finding ways to integrate bitcoin technology to their system and their features. Twitter had caught wind of this and is making particular efforts in ensuring that they do not get behind in the race against relevance. Yeah, they are so clever, that 3 years ago they ban a lot of crypto enthusiasts accounts. I've read that their bots accounts just for mentioning Bitcoin or Cryptocurrency. They were so against Cryptocurrency, that last years they have even added Bitcoin emoji. And not tipping system. They are not clever, they simply do everything to earn. If tomorrow becomes illegal, they will be the first to shout how bad Bitcoin is.

according to the information I got, twitter is included in the 10 social media that has the most members in the world, and twitter supports the development of bitcoin. if that happens, then millions of people will see what cryptocurrencies really are, and I think over 50% of twitter users will try to use crypto, even more so if they like it. well, I think if a member of twitter will try to invest in bitcoin, it will increase bitcoin adoption, and the price will most likely go up.
