Scamming a scammer
I read this thread and this funny story on reddit. The scammers got a taste of thier own medicine. After reading the comments I find there are many scambaiters online. There are forums, websites and youtube channels on the net dedicated to this cause. 419eater forum is one of the most popular I read. Some think scambaiting is dangerous and can endanger the life of the baiter. I do not share those viewpoint.
I'm thinking we can have a childboard on bitcointalkforum for scam baiters, badges and trophies will be awarded to the scambaiter with highest records.

FYI a scambaiter is someone who leads scammers on and wastes their time.

No.  Theymos is barely inclined to make simple improvements to the forum to make basic functionalities easier to use, so there's no way in hell he's going to create a subsection dedicated to something like what you're talking about.  Not only would it not be popular, but it'd probably draw more scammers to the forum than there already are (and there are plenty).

If I were you, I wouldn't waste my time making these suggestions.  I don't think you've yet gotten a feel for how slowly changes are implemented on bitcointalk, so my advice to you is to just sit back and observe.

0.0013 from a scammer. now he is identified too lol
wanna do this to scammers in telegram. some of them are very assertive like they really know what they are doing.

one scammer asked my eth address so he can approve me and that after it, i can then try sending him my eth. i was amaze how they actually can scam by telling something like this.

scam and accusation forum i think is the place for threads like this.

Uh no, OP.
Scam accusation board is enough already for any scam-related topics.

From what I observed from scambaiters like Kitboga, Jim Browning and Pierogi, it is really a risky stuff to do. You are risking your PC being locked because those scammers really love to lock victim's computer assuming the scam involves getting connected and having remote connection to your PC and you don't want that to happen to you in cases that you messed up with your scambaiting. Mostly scambaiters are focused into refund scams and fake tech support scams which both involve needing remote desktop connection which is a no-no. You never wanted someone posting here that they got locked up in their own PC, because they forgot to set up their VM and messed up their entire scambaiting.

Scambaiting and scambaiters already have their own community in Reddit whether it is crypto-related or not and let's just leave it that way, imo.

I am literally watching Kitboga right now when I suddenly saw this thread popup. What a timing.

Its already being done, most frequently wrapped in the form of a Scam Accusation.

What Happens When You Write to a Crypto Scammer's Email?

Its an art that I first started appreciating thanks to Gleb Gamow. Then I started watching scambaiting YouTubers, some of it is pretty hilarious.

I have done doing this but not on the forum. I have received a pm from someone I don't know and he/she said that if I open that site then I will earn profit. What I did is I pretend to follow the scammer and ask many questions for distraction until the scammer taught me the things that they expected that I will do which I didn't do. I just made the scammer's waste time on me.

If my suggestion is not welcomed. I will create a thread title 'Scambaiters' and see how many will visit the thread. Should the thread remain inactive after a month I will delete it.

You are already having fun without me. Who knew there were scambaiters on bitcointalk

Not that your suggestion is not welcomed, but like nutildah already mentioned that it is already being done in here in the form of SA board.
It is more of scam busting rather than scambaiting, but the result/s are pretty much the same.
