Whosoever is living in Connecticut, there is a good news for the gamblers there, the sports agency have approved the master Gaming license.

It would be on-reservation sports betting plus the players would only be allowed place bets on temporary sports book.

Apparently they are still waiting on some documents from the lottery and therefore it would take time before the license can be finalized, but they are introducing it partially. Company calling it the soft launch.

What I think is that people should try to know other ways to gamble, people should not be relying only on fiat way of gambling when there are many other options, cryptocurrencies provided more options, see as many gambling sites on this forum which offers cryptocurrencies as a means of deposit and withdraw, many people can use the reputed betting sites on this forum. I do not recommend 1xbit, but others are reputable enough.

I noticed that more states now are legalizing gambling. This is good for the sports betting industry as it will increase their revenue, and not only that, it would also help the government to increase their tax collection, making it legal has better benefits than not regulating it at all.

I believe the system of soft launch that they've done is more on a smaller scale, Connecticut players but restricted to those who reserved first, as what OP said. It's pretty much like how hotel reservations and the like happen I suppose, and a dedicated app isn't that far off I think, but it isn't a necessity for now since I'd reckon they're only serving a small number of players at first, to check and see what would happen, hence the soft launch. It's a pretty positive idea for me though since it's a soft launch, there could be other negative results such as a player falling into addiction while in the soft launch, and honestly, that could probably bring more negative ideas compared to people not joining in to gamble.

a launch like this will often make the area business friendly, it will attrack more people to open their business nearby and make a living. resort casino in my country have been the busiest even after a week where there was a shooting spree. 

but this resort will probably not allow unvaccinated individuals to come inside.

From Ukraine to the  Netherlands  and now Connecticut in the US, I must say that it is good news for the gambler, gambling operators and for the state. I reckon we are so close to bitcoin being approved as a payment method.

I don't think it's a problem if this has become an agreement that has been formalized by the government in Connecticut. In fact, they were quite enthusiastic when the opening ceremony was about to open. In addition, the list of casinos that have been recorded is a casino that is quite well known and has a license. A lot of positives definitely but it's still a vice so it's not a good thing to be too happy about it, too much is bad for everyone. It's great news for Connecticut, it's just the whole American system is baffling to me - 50 states all working at different paces to create and repeal different laws seems like an incredibly wasteful exercise. I guess it's a way for politicians to keep getting work for themselves. I guess all of these states are seeing the large amounts of revenues that the Indian reservations make, they know people are gambling anyway so might as well bring in that tasty cashflow to the state in the form of taxes. It's even crazier that they did not even allow lotteries to run there, as they could be considered the laziest and least intrusive form of gambling, however if they are properly run can be a great boost for the coffers.

What happens is that people will use what they have available to gamble, if they have fiat and they are not interested in bitcoin yet then it does not make sense for them to exchange their fiat to bitcoin and then gamble with it when they can just gamble with their fiat, on their minds they are adding an additional step that is not necessary for them to make, however give it time, there is a reason gambling is one of the stronger industries in this market, once we see massive adoption I am sure the number of people gambling with cryptocurrencies will grow dramatically.

That's called federal structure and it is one of the most successful method of running an incredibly large country like US. The similar structure is followed in India as well which allows different states to formulate their own law based on the local need.

I believe what Connecticut has done is to increase their revenue to run the state and to maintain their infrastructure. Every state has their own unique population and unique needs to address. The legislators of Connecticut thought that gambling might be a good thing to introduce to fill their coffers so here it is!

^ For sure there will be heavy regulations that come from their government and KYC verification should be a must on this. I don't know if they are ready to adopt cryptocurrency on this but hopefully, there is, it is a great impact on us as crypto enthusiasts and crypto gamblers as well that there is a place that understands gambling and can able to manage their people about gambling. Especially if the government also provides all the facilities that they must be aware of when addiction prevention cannot be controlled by them. Just as there is a disease, the hospital provides medicine to treat it.

From what I understand from the article (correct me if I'm wrong), it's not that Connecticut state has ban gambling compare to what happened in the regulation of gambling in Ukraine and the Netherlands. It's just that two of the popular sports company, Foxwoods Resort Casino and Mohegan will be granted a license to operate sports betting in that state but prior to that maybe there are already gambling operations there but not involving sports betting.

Almost all US States are gambling-friendly states. There are strict ones but not totally a ban to the majority of the states.
