I have got some aged Teak offcuts which I have been storing for some unknown
future project and I have decided to make a move and create something of them.
----------
I did a test run last weekend at carving the Bitcoin symbol into a piece, profiled
the outside edge, applied some Gold Acrylic paint and gave it two coats of satin
varnish to finish, the result is from a quick enough job but I like the result.
----------
So I am gauging some interest in the concept of some carved Teak products with
very low quantities.
----------
The first plan is to make a set of two, Bitcoin and Litecoin, inlaid with Gold and Silver
Acrylic paint. Artwork below and some some sample images. I'm planning 5 sets,
They will be numbered, A1/2 & A2/2, B..., C..., D..., E... I still have to figure out how I will do that though.
Size of each: 9.4cm x 6.2cm x 1.8cm approximately [easy to post]
This is the initial sample to convert what I had in my head to something physical
These are the 2 slabs ready for carving
and this is the artwork
On a slightly larger scale I have plans to make something from 4 slabs,
15.2cm x 8.8cm x 2cm approx. but i am undecided on the artwork.
I will potentially start off with the smaller set first.
