Never heard of that VPN but there's one thing for sure that if it's free then you're the product.
If I'll be using a VPN, I'll choose the common one even it cost me some bucks. They're much safe to use.

Nothing is free in the world. If it free than they may be collecting your private data and want to misuse it. Consider for moment, if you were a developer of a VPN, why would you give free services to the whole world ? Wouldn't you like to sell it for profit. I will never believe that this VPN is giving free service without some hidden intentions.

Their sock puppets are all over reddit u/cocolalaoneu/joenolan25u/bamberrybabeu/capKelleyDeleted user but here's a comment from u/ndjddocndns dewvpn seems to be the only thing you review or even post about for last 2 years! That plus the way its written makes me not trust it whatsoever! Blatant lying seems to be their forte. Wouldn't surprise me if they are lying about other things as well like their no logs policy.

The only free VPNs worth using are ProtonVPN and Windscribe. They don't offer as many locations as a paid VPN but they are well known and have gained enough trust. A lot of other free options are only looking to collect data or to use your own internet connection to route other customers traffic.

Recently i can across a VPN which is totally free and there is no paid services for this vpn. The name of this vpn is Dewvpn ( https://www.dewvpn.com/). Anyone using this vpn and let me know if its safe and good option in case anyone needs a vpn ? As I see from their FAQ, DewVPN works in a hybrid mode, I.E. combines traditional and P2P VPN technology. The most important question that you have to ask yourself when something is free is - why? As they say on their website, it's free for non-commercial users but they charge fee for commercial use. Personally, I have almost never seen any free VPN without limits and being free for even non-commercial use. Still, I suggest you to use famous and trusted VPN services. Random website just saying it doesn't store any logs doesn't mean that they are right, personally I wouldn't risk to trust new and unknown websites. If you are looking for something affordable, trustworthy and quality, then personally I suggest you to use Mullvad VPN. It's one of the most amazing VPN that I have ever seen, just check yourself. Payment methods, etc, are all very anonymous.

Probably the only VPN that I currently only trust(to a certain extent, of course) is Mullvad. It's an expensive $5.5 per month with no promos, but in exchange, you're using a service that won't be requiring any information from you at all; yes, not even an email. And if you really don't want anything tied to you, you can pay with bitcoin and physical cash.

Hmm. This "p2p vpn" looks really insecure. Peer-To-Peer
The Services are based on a community powered (Peer-to-Peer) network, where users to pool together and route their internet connections through each other. That means the software may make use of the Internet, among other means by re-routing some of your requests through other peer users. Your free use of the software will in turn enable other devices using the Services to be re-routed through your device. From that users can help each other to make the internet free for all, by sharing their idle resources. By using the Services you consent to the use of your device in the described manner and agree that other users or services may use your network connection and resources. You represent that your entry into this Agreement and your use of the Services does not breach any contract, duty, law, regulation or right, and that if sharing your resources is not desirable or allowed in your case, you will not use the Services, or purchase the Premium Subscription to use the network but not to contribute resources to it. From what I understand, someone could do nefarious things using my IP and that could be linked back to me. Furthermore, they did say "other users or services may use your network connection and resources" which means it's possible they would be using the CPU as well

Their claim is too good to be true, it's rare to see free VPN (even including one which collect & sell your data) offer unlimited traffic & 1 Gbit. Besides, they claim their VPN application available on 5 different OS, but the download button only available for Windows OS.
If you can't afford paid VPN, you better use VPN which mentioned by @FinneysTrueVision.
Claiming something which you cant really see on their site or into their service itself is a bit deceptive and its true that it is really too good to be true which would really be putting up some hesitance or doubts with just using your own awareness.I havent paid any VPN service and do stick out on whats mention by Finney which i had experience on using that free named ProtonVPN. It works as intended but if you do have money there are others which are more reputable and known and not this one.

Usually, if you use a free VPN, your IP access will be limited, but if you pay for the services, you unlock all of the IPs that they have to use different IPs available on their servers. I never hear about Dewvpn so I can not recommend you to use it but you can browse the internet to read reviews from people who already use their services. Maybe you can check this page: https://www.vpn-mentors.com/best-vpn-for-pc/?keyword=best%20vpn%20for%20pc&geo=1007738&device=&cq_src=google_ads&cq_cmp=12347332247&cq_term=best%20vpn%20for%20pc&cq_plac=&cq_net=g&cq_plt=gp&gclid=CjwKCAjw7--KBhAMEiwAxfpkWGSs9_4PeyL4vVc97P87NO1m0vRj6eMEdruIZnppzby4fG59sklwsRoCRsAQAvD_BwE. That site gives a list of VPN. In their pop-up, you will see you will get 3 months free if you buy ExpressVPN. You can browse the other page to find what VPN you want. But do not use a free VPN.

I can vouch for Windscribe (including their paid service). Just keep in mind that there are some controversy here and there about them. Last time I checked a user claims that the owner dump his PM on public place, so it's not that privacy friendly. Do your own research. For as low as $2/month (one location and unlimited data, plus openvpn support and others), I think it's good enough as long as you don't expect some state-of-the-art privacy tech.

Seeing all the bad reviews for dewvpn, i have quit the idea of using it. I am trying Windscribe free version currently but it is not totally free. They give you 2GB data only and renew if after a month, if we do not upgrade to a paid version. I am using the browser based extension for Windscribe.

At least they are not spying or using your computer resources, or maintaining any logs. If they give you unlimited free VPN package, then no one will buy their paid packages. If you need more that VPN data, you need to pay for it. Nothing is free , even the internet you are using is not free, right ?

The Services are based on a community powered (Peer-to-Peer) network, where users to pool together and route their internet connections through each other. Your free use of the software will in turn enable other devices using the Services to be re-routed through your device. From that users can help each other to make the internet free for all, by sharing their idle resources. By using the Services you consent to the use of your device in the described manner and agree that other users or services may use your network connection and resources. From what I understand, someone could do nefarious things using my IP and that could be linked back to me. Furthermore, they did say "other users or services may use your network connection and resources" which means it's possible they would be using the CPU as well That's what I think to. Logically, p2p vpn should mean that the two person exchanges data. If I visit bitcointalk it may look like you visit this website and if you visit Google, it may look like I visited the google. But this kind of connection is far from the benefits of VPN, it can't be done that way, otherwise, you will be in serious trouble if you use p2p VPN. Imagine, you live in Germany and the peer you are connected with visits torrent and illegal streaming websites, you are f***d Btw according to DewVPN's FAQs: The Peer-to-Peer VPN architecture is more anonymous, secure and harder to block than the regular VPN services.I think we need an answer from the most experienced users.

Since they don't bother mention or describe what protocol or technology they use, what we need is expert who willing to perform audit on this VPN. I'll go with this, we are not expert to this and we are not sure how secured this Dewvpn sometimes I have doubts to free VPN I don't know what their goal or motives are. I still prefer audited or reputable VPN providers even I do need to pay for subscriptions.

Probably the only VPN that I currently only trust(to a certain extent, of course) is Mullvad. It's an expensive $5.5 per month I use it too, but my perspective differs: it's cheap at €0.15 per day or about $0.04 for 6 hours. Until they accept LN I use BCH * to pay for a fresh account whenever I need it for a couple hours. You can literally pay any amount and get exactly the minutes you paid for. *I know, I know, I don't like it either. But fees are low and Mullvad accepts payments with 0 confirmations (unlike Bitcoin).

Yeah, as I mentioned above too, Mullvad is really the only most trustworthy VPN to my mind. It's not expensive, you pay 5 Euro a month and that's all, they don't have sales, 12 months offers, etc, just one 5 euro a month for everyone for any time. Btw I didn't know that you could pay any amount and get exact minutes. Not only crypto but they accept anonymous cash payments in various currencies too, that's what I appreciate the most with this VPN. If anyone is looking for Mullvad alternatives with more options and different pay rates, I can suggest Windscribe too. You can pay $1 on one location and then 1$ for unlimited bandwidth, otherwise 10GB on each location or just pay 9$ and unlock 63 location. You can also buy whitelisted static IPs to get rid of unwanted blocks/resistances but you have to pay $24 a year (one-time). Also, these static IPs are shared with some people for better anonimity.
