Soon we will be mining on Intel graphics cards?

Once a transaction has 6 confirmations, it is extremely unlikely that an attacker without at least 50% of the network's computation power would be able to reverse it.

Prices are  in the same range like AMD and Nvidia. And you are wrong, Intel CPU are not always expensive. The Intel GPU will be manufactured by TSMC also. So no internal fabrication. And yes Intel will have much GPU´s at release.

It's too soon to talk about mining on DG2 imo. Even their gaming performance is not yet tested, plus their drivers might be terrible at launch. Better wait until Intel get better at making GPUs before starting to consider their cards to mine.

It's kinda ironic to see Intel use TSMC to launch their products after claiming years of fab leadership.

Intel, finally. The company fully presented its flagship graphics card Arc A770 and named its price
The Arc A770 is the flagship of the line, but it only costs $330. This is because, according to the available tests, it will compete with the GeForce RTX 3060 and sometimes with the RTX 3060 Ti.

Still good to have a third alternative in a market where we have always been guided by Nvidia and Ati/AMD card manufacturers. While it doesn't look impressive in performance at least the price is relatively good and I am sure Intel will only keep improving their product line. This in overall long term future should make sure the prices of GPU-s to stay at a reasonable level even when we will be in the next bull run.I would not directly buy this card as I need to see how it behaves from other people but if the first couple of months are good without problems then I will definitely go for it.

I love that Intel has started trying to take a bite out of Nvidia’s GPU dominance. I prefer both AMD and Intel over Nvidia as companies and would much rather be giving them my money. It seems like Intel is just dipping their toe in the water with this offering, but I expect them to undercut on price and outperform in the future. They have a long established business with endless resources. This is a positive for the GPU industry.

I have to agree. Their AV encoder is supposed to be the better the the rest. They're starting small which seems a fortunate decision considering
the current market for GPUs. They have a plan it's just a matter or execution, unfortunately execution has been a problem on the CPU side for
a few years. I hope ARC works out.

The release of desktop solutions was delayed due to the decision to launch mobile versions of the product first. Now mining is unprofitable and the main thing for a video card is to show good performance in games and have a cheap cost. Nvidia will lag behind competitors because competitors have released new efficient GPUs, but the main thing is that now there are at least 3 large manufacturers on the market.

According to European price comparison website, the cheapest Arc A770 Limited Edition costs 430 EUR.
Although Intel discrete desktop Arc A7 GPUs were already tested by international media, Intel has not provided an official price for the European market. The A770 Limited Edition, which is Intel’s own design with 16GB of VRAM, will officially cost $349 and should be available through major retailers in the US.

That is not a bad price for a 16 GB card in VRAM,I am not that impressed by the cores of this card but that price is much better than other cards who do not offer such performance as the ones mentioned in the article ranging from 8 GB to 12 GB,this card should be able to beat them in an instant in many things but I am curious how will do in mining.

We have a few hash rate leaks that show it 32 Mhsh in Eth/Etchash without optimization, and with some kernel optimization to be at 40 Mhsh, not impressive considering the 2060 Super does 44 Mhsh.

And the first tests in mining will not give good results. The current mining tests of the RTX 4090 video card indicate a payback of more than 10 years, which indicates the complete uselessness of the new product from Nvidia in mining. I think that other new products will have a similar result.

And the situation on the market has not changed due to the addition of a new manufacturer. When video cards were needed in the market, Intel released very few desktop versions. Intel needs to design their miners so that they give the best performance and at the same time video cards do not consume a lot of electricity.

I think Intel has changed view on this and will keep flooding in the market their dedicated graphic cards and will focus less on their integrated GPU which we have in their CPU-s which are worthless for everything except bringing us a good screen resolution.

They have the know how to bring us good dedicated graphic cards which they will improve during time and will also improve much more the electricity consumption than Nvidia or AMD,they sure have the know how for this.

AMD got is right with zen4 iGPU "designed to light up the display only". Building a better iGPU just doesn't make any sense
for desktops. Maybe Intel caught on.

Edit: A truly hybrid CPU/GPU would be a different story where the GPU cores could run parallel compute applications.
Much better than Intel's current hybrid CPU architecture which requires dumming down the P-cores by disabling AVX512.

Intel Arc graphics cards may not be the best choice for gaming for the money, but in some ways, as it turns out, they are superior not only to direct competitors, but in general to all 3D cards on the market.

Decoding tests in AV1 format using video cards have appeared on the Web. And the results of the Arc A770 were very impressive.

At 4K resolution, the new Intel performs at the level of the GeForce RTX 3090 and RTX 4090, although the latter is actually slightly worse in terms of 0.2 minimum fps.

Judging by the comments on Chinese retail site, this graphics card has become available since last month. Intel had released two Arc A770 models, either with 8GB or 16GB VRAM. The latter was seemingly exclusively used by reference “Limited Edition” or by Acer BiFrost model. GUNNIR’s new Photon card will join this small group.

The A770 Photon looks identical to the A770 that was announced a few months ago. It is equipped with dual 8-pin power connectors, three fans, and it is slightly thicker than 2 slots (300 x 118.5 x 50 mm).

Intel Arc A580 GPU is a no-show at Innovation 2023
On September 9th, 2022, Intel unveiled the specifications of four Arc Alchemist GPUs slated for future release. Following this initial specification reveal, Intel formally announced its Innovation 2022 Arc A7 series, which eventually hit the market in October. Notably, while GPUs like the A770/A750 and A380 made their debut, the A580 SKU, originally listed alongside these cards, remained conspicuously absent.

The A580 GPU was actually one of the earliest leaks from the Arc Alchemist GPU series, boasting an official specification of 24 Xe-Cores. This exceeded the specifications of the ACM-G11 (8 Xe-Cores) and the subsequently released ACM-G12 (16 Xe-Cores). It logically follows that the A580 may have been based on the ACM-G10 GPU, which offers up to 32 Xe-Cores.
