Intel optimizing Starfield Arc gaming experience, Bethesda claims Arc A770 is no match for the game
Despite the Arc A770 GPU’s better performance compared to the aforementioned cards, Bethesda’s generic response suggests a lack of comprehensive guidance on how to address or optimize the game for their hardware. Consequently, Arc gamers may have to rely on Intel to resolve issues that Bethesda appears unwilling to tackle independently. One can only hope that Intel and Bethesda are working on Starfield optimizations together and Intel will have its “Game On” fully optimized driver for Starfield soon.

https://videocardz.com/newz/intel-releases-new-starfield-driver-while-bethesda-claims-arc-a770-does-not-meet-minimum-requirements

I sympathize with gamers with Intel graphics cards. I was waiting for the release of this game, but after watching several reviews that showed a huge number of bugs, and a lot of similar quests on different planets, I did not download this game.

Intel launches Arc A580, a year too late but at a good price

Today, Intel is unveiling the A580 GPU priced at $179. This model is tailored for entry-level to mid-range gaming, offering good performance at a 1080p resolution with medium to high graphics settings. The card boasts 24 Xe-Cores and is equipped with 8GB of GDDR6 memory. It’s designed with a board power of 185W, which is 40W lower than that of the Arc A750. Worth noting that this is also 10W more than announced in 2022.

Sparkle has reduced the price of the branded ARC A750 to $189, and in two stores at once: Amazon and Newegg. Other models are sold a little more expensive. For example, the Intel ARC A750 Limited Edition and Acer Predator BiFrost ARC A750 OC cost $199.
It would be strange if the less productive Intel ARC A580 was released at the same or higher price. If the price is below $189, then Intel will offer the most budget graphics card with 8 GB of memory on the market, and this may be of interest to many gamers.

Now, Intel has introduced the same Arc Xe "Alchemist" architecture on its Core Ultra "Meteor Lake" CPUs as an iGPU. This solution offers very competitive performance against AMD's RDNA 3 iGPUs & we can expect further improvements as the driver improves down the line. But in 2024, Intel aims to release a brand new GPU architecture known as Xe2 "Battlemage" This new architecture will be used by the next iteration of Intel's Arc Gaming & Pro discrete GPUs for desktop and mobility PCs.

Test Intel Meteor Lake Arc iGPU
In 1080p High tests, we see the Arc iGPU on the Core Ultra 7 155H leading in 7 out of the 8 games tested. Even the Core Ultra 5 125H retains a lead over the RDNA 3 graphics solution. The outlet is also sharing a graphics ladder which shows that the Meteor Lake CPUs are now much faster than NVIDIA's MX solutions and end up close to the GTX 1650 Max-Q discrete GPUs.

That's gaming performance, not mining. It's also a mobile so isn't relevant to mining.
I'm not sure what the point is, no gamer (nor miner) buys a CPU for its iGPU. Battlemage was the more interesting part of Intel's announcement.

Yes, sure.
And PlayStation consoles were also for games, but if the profit in mining becomes very, very large, then any equipment that has a good video card can be adapted for mining.
Now no one is talking about iGPU mining, but there is always the possibility of coming up with a mining algorithm for iGPU.

You are, and no there isn't, Any discussion about algorithms for iGPUs is as much of a scam as algos for mobile phones.

iGPUs are also becoming very powerful. The coolest one is now in the new AMD Ryzen 7 8700G processor.
Starting with the specifications, we are looking at the AMD Ryzen 7 8700G APU which features 8 cores, 16 threads, 16 MB of L3, and 8 MB of L2 cache. This chip has a base clock rated at 4.20 GHz and boosts up to 5.10 GHz. The iGPU includes the RDNA 3-based Radeon 780M with 12 Compute Units clocked around 3.0 GHz.

Intel has just shown off what is easily the best unboxing video ever, with ASML's new bleeding-edge Twinscan EXE:500 High-NA EUV lithography machine reaching its Oregon fab, a machine worth $380 million, and one of the most advanced machines on the planet. Check it out:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3PCtf1ONYMU&ab_channel=IntelNewsroom
ASML's new Twinscan EXE:500 High-NA EUV lithography machine was transported from The Netherlands to Portland, Oregon, USA in a cargo plane. A truck then picked it up and delivered the $380 million machine, which will require 250 ASML and Intel engineers -- and around 6 months -- to install the machine completely. The system required 250 crates to transport the machine, weighing around 330,000 pounds. It's huge, and it's heavy.

Once the Twinscan EXE:500 High-NA EUV lithography machine is fully assembled, the job isn't over for ASML and Intel engineers, as they'll need to calibrate the machine which could take a couple of months. Once this is done, Intel can achieve its "First Light" milestone, something ASML just reached with its High-NA EUV machine in Veldhofen, the Netherlands, just recently.

The other issue is that there are not a lot of Arc cards out there at the moment.
Yes I'm sure developers can get their hands on them and write optimized miners for them, but the question becomes will it be worth it.
Time and effort for what would probably be very little use.

Just how I see it.

I was reading Intel's official plans for 2024, and I just saw that the company wants to release a more powerful series of Intel ARC “Battlemage” graphics cards with more cores. But Nvidia may also release a powerful 5090 video card with GDDR7 memory.

Intel unveils flurry of new Arc GPUs - however serious graphics users will have to wait for more powerful models, as these focus on a completely different and more lucrative market
Two years after the debut of its Arc Alchemist GPUs, Intel is launching six new Arc products, but these are designed for edge/embedded systems.

These edge systems, which process data near the source to reduce latency and bandwidth use, are becoming increasingly essential in areas such as IoT, autonomous vehicles, and AI applications.

As Intel says, “AI at the edge is exploding with new use cases and workloads being developed daily. These AI workloads often require a high degree of parallel processing and memory bandwidth for peak performance, dedicated hardware, optimized architecture for compute efficiency, and reduced latency with faster results for real-time processing. A discrete GPU may be the ideal solution for edge AI use cases requiring high performance and complex model support.”

Now the most powerful and affordable video card from Intel is the Arc A770 16GB model. In terms of performance, it is approximately RTX 3060, as they say in reviews, only with a large amount of memory and a favorable price. But this video card has its own compatibility issues. So far it’s good, but after the release of the 5000 series from Nvidia it will already be a weak video card.
