Hello all, I want to throw this question here to get useful comments. So for a while now I have been trying to build micro-habits. However, I keep relapsing after a couple of days of being consistent and think I'm making progress.

So I want to ask, what strategies have you employed to successfully develop a micro-habit. Please share, I want to learn.

We have all heard about some sort of productivity hack, and while I am not bashing people who use these tactics, it's a fine line to walk. You are essentially sabotaging your results while trying to benefit from them, and vice-versa.

So let's go back to the top question, How can I put micro-habits to work for me?. Here's a brief outline of what I’m thinking:
Start small and keep it simple. This gives you the benefit of tweaking little things every once in a while. For example, add a small 5-minute rule when you sit down to work in your office (i.e. check your phone, take a quick look at your email, or start reading the news). Pick 3 to 5 habits to be started this week and work on them daily. You don't need to do a huge number, just pick a few that will get you started on a positive track. Create tiny moments for yourself where you can achieve new habits.
