There are so many new and strong conceptualized project out there. Im not sure whether what factors you are looking for long term projects. Is it a tech side where the project has really has a big shot when it comes to their platform or tech, or the hype or the one with massive marketing but still has very common or low key idea project? For me, a good potential one is the one with massive community, the one or devs that actively submitting and updating codes for their platform. Its all about performance, and eth can be overtaken by those that has capability to do so in the future.

With Solana, you have to wait because it is very expensive now and it is unrealistic to say Solana will keep this price after the bull market. we don't know what kind of competition and potential there is in the new coins out there. we could just look at a new coin and beat ADA, or SOL. however, the potential of altcoins has always been, when compared to ethereum, then it is still very far away. even coins like BNB are still hard to beat ETH.
if you are looking for a coin that you can hold for a long time, and the potential can be close to ETH, then I choose BNB, Polygon, SOL, DOT, AVAX, and UNI. however, you need to do some more research so you won't be disappointed. good for me may not be good for you.

actually cardano is quite capable for long term investment with relatively low affordable and will high for prices sometime in the future ,but consider other projects with seeing the number of active communities too ,solve your problem by placing at least 4/5 investments at once for the long term ,I'm pretty sure you can put it in other products by looking at the quality of your posts so I don't recommend anything ,you are good at looking also at alt quality

that's correct, i should remind you that if SOL has better usability and utility compared with ADA. ADA didn't have good tech and it's fully hyped by the community that has backed ADA. I see that after the launch of smartcontract and the result was the same with the DOT. Did you aware if DOT was going down again after it was reaching the peak price caused by the community was hyping it? It offers nothing other than a gimmick. There are a bunch of articles that said ada will even surpass bitcoin. This project must be joking about that,
We have a bunch of fully working smartcontract platforms and we didn't even need ADA. ADA will be the next DOT. It will be kicking out from the TOP 5 after the hype will be gone. People are still talking nonsense about this coin to surpass everything to be the number 1 crypto. It's very similar with DOT. ADA is just another over rated platform with no usability at all. So many people who have been buying ADA was only speculation about alonso update but it seems like that they will be realized it later. So many projects have been doing it. I agree with you, therefore in my opinion the best altcoin to invest in the long term is Ethereum, because Ethereum is the most popular altcoin (top 2 in coinmarketcap) and of course that makes Ethereum definitely safe to use as a long term investment, so I believe the price of Ethereum will definitely continue to increase very high and give you a big profits in the future.

Considering the long run, I would definitely make an investment into Solana. It is a one-year-old project now but it has gone a long way from its first times to now.
