Is it about NFT games? I think a dedicated board would be nice as well. Since it's not just about the token itself, discussion in ANN in the altcoin board might not be enough. It can become flooded or out of topic unlike if there's a dedicated board.

Yes, I was about to create a new topic for my game, but I noticed that most of the topics have the same structure, same comments, like bots.

It's been suggested so many times, but I doubt if we will have an NFT board just by the mere fact that NFTs are technically tokens and the forum already has a tokens board.

How many working blockchain-based games do we even have currently to warrant a separate board? Games with active communities, discussions, etc. I am not active on that front, but I think I could name 2, maybe 3 max. If we have 10 or even 20, that is still not enough.

We have numerous Lightning Network threads and discussions and those have not yet gotten their own sub-board.

OP, JeromeTash linked to some threads for requests for new sections about NFTs, and those have all been ignored by Theymos.  I hate to tell you, but he's going to ignore your suggestion as well.  I can't speak for him (though I just did), but I'm fairly certain that he's not going to be creating any new sections anytime soon.  The last two, aside from local boards, were Serious Discussion and Ivory Tower, and honestly those could be eliminated without affecting the forum in any way.  I forget why they were even made, and I'm not sure how they're faring.

If it’s blockchain based NFT related project, I think you should post it on Token (altcoin). I believe your project is built on some other blockchain and the NFT is a some form of token on that chain. So, I think Token (altcoin) board is the perfect one.

There's a good number of blockchain games out right now already, but yea the only relevant ones are like 2-3.

And if we were to have a blockchain games subcategory right now(which I'm also kinda against), it will most probably be revolving around speculation of soon-to-be-released games rather than current live games.

So what if the this axie infinity project is growly quickly. We have a lot of hypes in the past for ICO, IEO, IDO, DEFI, NFT and now gaming projects. Did we had a separate board for all of them ?

You have to buy those axie characters from the game's marketplace. Only then are you allowed to play. Part of that money is used as in-game rewards, etc. I felt like trying it out a little while ago, but gave up on the idea when I realized that it requires an initial investment before you can start playing. If all that is true, the game shouldn't even be in the altcoin sub but in Investor-based games.

Yep, that's the problem with the majority of currently available NFT based "games", at least for now; their target audience are not gamers but farmers and speculators and that's the reason I keep avoiding them. Btw, I don't see a problem that you have to pay in order to play the game as that's how majority of other games are working - you have to buy in order to play. I generally avoid free to play games as they often turn to be even more expensive to play than those that you have to buy,  if you want to be competitive of course.

Things are changing though and soon enough we gonna start getting fully fledged games, maybe even AAA, but we are at least 1-2 years from that, meaning there is no need for special board, at last not for now.

Sorry, but I have to stick in a little bit, and yes, I've been playing Axie infinity for a few months now, and I must say it's the best gamefi out there for now (maybe I haven't seen others yet). I started with a $700 investment, and I've already made more than that amount. If anyone is looking for a free to play game, Binemom is the best one I know right now. It's completely free to play.

The problem is not the initial investment. The problem (if there really is one) could be that the rewards for those playing are paid out from the money that new players invest to purchase their in-game characters, which is a requirement if they want to play. Would existing and old players still be paid if new players didn't turn up, that's the question.

In Ponzi schemes, those who invested early can also profit and get their money out. It all seems good and solid until the system breaks down. Anyways, this is my last comment on this subject because it's heading in a direction the original author didn't expect it to.

From little I have seen about this game, looks to me that only purpose of this game is to make some money out of it, and not to enjoy actual gameplay. There are probably those that are into game itself and not the money, but they are far and far between. I sure hope crap like that is not the future of gaming.

This has to go to the list of "poorly supported requests/features to the forum" that I've been seen lately. If you feel like a certain category / section of a particular element/thematic related to crypto - the most relatable with BTC the better - is missing, the first thing that I would recommend you doing is actually providing supporting arguments that you believe should be taken into account in order to justify the amount of work that it takes to create it. Here's some suggestions:

• In your case search for references that are related with your "game" related category around the forum. Try to visually quantify them and show how spread / evolving they are.
• Try to back it out with some relevant data that brings a more crystal clear meaning to the subject that it tries to cover (What is the purpose of the section? What are the main products within the section and what are they trying to aim for?)
• (Perhaps a tad related to the previous point) Provide some information regarding how "legit" the projects that are being developed within the theme and the positive impact that the discussion around them could have within the forum

These were just some 5 minutes ideas that I had that would make me actually consider being interested in your suggestion, or at least I would know clearly what were the reasoning behind your exposition to the forum. With a thread with just 2 phrases I honestly don't recognize any kind of motivation / reasoning for your request to even be bothering with thinking if the addition of it makes sense to the overall forum or not ...
