Tattoos have to have meaning?

What do you think about tattoos? i see a lot of people just getting tattoos that left and right with no meaning at all. i have tattoos but every one of them has a meaning for me and thats why i made them.
DO you thing tattoos have to have meaning or they are just a drawing?

Probably mean alot to them but they don't have the right word to express it.
Others are probably just copying their popular role model, to be respected or "to belong" etc.
People should be careful with tattoo though, especially those that involve blood-letting . Could be deeper than you think

If you could see in the first place you feeling not,exactly what you feel ,those who have already tattoo,but for those have tattoo,that's is a arts, and they happy while they have tattoo,we know now that whenever you go, they love tattoo,there's happiness and joyful of there life,that's have a meaning the TATTOO,for those have ,just we only responds them to respect and be happy what they makes them happy for there life.

I believe that people who has it has their own stories and meanings and a reason why they've taken it on their bodies.

I personally think there should be tattoos because it gives you a piece of you that will never be taken away. Sometimes people just want to get tattoos to be different and say something, I understand that sometimes but that is not what tattoos are for. To me, they should be a reflection of your soul. I'm a perfectionist so I dont just slap a tattoo on for fun or whatever.

yups , My tattoos symbolizes something in my real experiences in life and even some are for my family.

Indeed i had multiple tattoos in body , from expose places and even inside my undies .

I agree with boyptc that taooing is art and with IIrik11 (or maybe Tony Robbins) that meaning is subjective. The main meaning of art is to express artists inside thoughts or emotions, thats why art exists. But like always, artists have to do custom-made art.

I think tattoos are a wonderful way to express yourself.
I do not believe that all tattoos must have some deep meaning behind them.
However whatever tattoo you decide to get, no matter if it’s playful or something very serious to you, it will have meaning because you chose to put it on your body.

It’s art isn’t it, we all have the choice what to do with our own bodies. I like tattoos, they create individualism. If you don’t like tattoos then that’s fine but don’t judge others who do. It’s important to find a good artist though as it’s permanent & you don’t want shit tattoos.
