Is USDT a trustable?

Fud news about usdt has happened a lot, even a long time ago.. but I think usdt will be a stablecoin that can be trusted.

too much FUD on USDT, but so far I'm still using it too. besides BUSD, I also still use USDT. to be honest, I even use USDT more often than BUSD. it's just that, because of so many FUDs as the OP reads, or many say, I never hold USDT long term. on the other hand, if I aim to keep the asset in the long term, I'd rather convert it to FIAT than hold it in the long term. however, I don't trust USDT 100%, but I still use it.

Same here, my binance is more than 60% usdt. Despite the recent news that $150M was frozen by tether which also means USDT is a very centralized stablecoin and the team could just freeze your money whenever they want it.

I don't know if it's a fud still because it's all over the news and it's been said over and over every time.

It seems to me that USDT is fairly safe, but some experts aren't sure its reserves are sufficient in case of a run or some type of financial contagion. I am more comfortable with USDC as it is seemingly more regulated and based in the U.S., but even then I think there's a risk. I'd like to see all stablecoins backed one-to-one with actual U.S. dollars (I'm sure they exist!).

USDT has been getting battered & FUDDED for as long as I can remember but it’s still here fighting & being used just as much as before. It is definitely trustable, you will have no problems parking your money in USDT.

Still worry and confused with USDT cryptocurrency because we don't know about the owner of this coin assets, have possibility for the owner make price dump or pump although USDT as stable coin right now. I think several years ago USDT as stable coin and allowed with real price on USDT as United State domestic money and keep have the same price, but this USDT cryptocurrency maybe have unknow supply still on creator hand how ever have possibility to make price different with real USDT of United State money.

What do you mean by "pump or dump" usdt is stablecoin and has always been since the beginning, there is no possibility of price pump or dump, except there is very bad publicity about the owners that will make the stablecoin lose value, despite all controversial information out there about usdt regarding the unknown supply (unknown supply means the owner can print even more), it still remains the highest pairing stablecoin in almost..... if not all exchange, both centralized and decentralized, and a major player in liquidity provider, it is impossible to ignore it.
However, it is left for users to pick their choice since there are other alternatives to choose from.

Personally, I find the USDT coin to be very stable. And believe various rumors that the coin will lose its credibility. I think these are just rumors to make people panic and drain their coins. For myself, I decided that the coin was both stable and continues to bring excellent income to its holders.

In USDT and Crypto World, this is a token that will never be lost.  When everyone has all the tokens, why not make a USDT by swapping it and even if the price of all the tokens fluctuates, this token remains the same in the market and remains more.  And by swiping the AT from all the tokens, it makes USDT and converts it into the currency of different countries.  So on the safe token USDT.  I profit USDT

Its a scam, it was proven that they keep on printing new usdt and their claim of every usdt is backed by fiat u.s.a dollar is false. Thinking that its a safe stable coin is bad and it will bite you in the future once Bitfinex closes in the future.

When the market is falling, I always move my crypto to USDT because I believe USDT is a trustworthy token that has never caused any problems. You should also check DAO maker, they let you participate without staking any platform tokens but the pool would be competitive. This would disrupt the launchpad model. This theory has been going online for a long time, but then why haven't any measures been taken for so many years, doesn't it seem strange to you?I think today there is no point in worrying about this, the market depends on this asset.

Actually, the issue of discrediting USDT is also experienced by other coins, not just stablecoins. But for myself this is a choice, believe it or not.
If USDT will lose its credibility it is very likely, because this issue makes people panic. To avoid what they don't want, they will definitely decide to switch to another stablecoin that they think is more secure, at least until this problem starts to go away.

Actually, USDT is backed by US dollar, the company claims that they reserve the actual dollar as collateral, but as far I know they also reserved the right to issue new coins if they want without giving any reason.

only for this reason I'm not used to USDT a lot, Most often I use Dai cause it is decentralized. and 2nd one is BUSD cause it confirms its credible form all of their issued token must be held into credible form, which is low risky.

I really think like you, I don't see why they don't trust USDT, obviously BUSD is a great option, but reading all the reasons they give for distrusting the currency doesn't make sense to me, I also know that they were in problems because they are blamed for the fact that thanks to the usdt Bitfinex made a large purchase of BTC because in the investigations they concluded that they had printed or created USDT out of nowhere to buy BTC, and it is for this reason that many think that the BTC reached the $20k thanks to it.

Actually those negative news aren’t new, i already aware about such news since years ago but nothing is changed & nothing bad is happened yet. You can say there still possibilities but usdt is still tustable to me. thats why im still holding usdt on exchange account for trade. so shouldn't believe in such rumors, you can use usdt without having any hesitation. But on the other hand dai, tusd, usdc, busd are also trustable stable coins

If there is any doubt about USDT then you still have a lot of stablecoins in the market then you can choose any one as there are many stablecoin pairs and we can easily find them but for me at the moment I am still optimistic about it. USDT will always be my stable coin because all markets are still using that coin too.

Having a large trading volume is barely a sign of trustworthiness.

People use USDT out of necessity instead of an inherent trust for the token. Virtually every single person I know are concerned about the centralised nature of USDT as well as the fact that it is one of the few stablecoins that run with fractional reserve rather than a fully backed 1:1 system like TUSD or USDC.

Id rather get and use DAI or USDC. Or even UST for that matter - it is much more important to me to have a trustless stablecoin than liquidity per se.

Knowing that USDT is one of the top 10 rank cryptocurrency in the market makes it reliable and trustable because many crypto enthusiasts are trusting their funds most of the time into USDT than other stablecoin.

i see USDT is still in good condition and still safe. so there is no need to worry about the news that has already spread.

Almost all smart chain projects supports usdt now, it's a gigantic stable coin and probably would continue to be one of the best, they have a shady past though but that's no more, their team have also passed two audits for some time now, I see no problem using this stable coin

well, doubt will only make us pause for a moment. because of that, even though there are so many FUDs out there regarding USDT, but I still use USDT as my main choice in choosing a stable coin. the reason is easy, it's because I feel that USDT is the most used stable coin, and I feel that it is something that is safe. well, besides that I'm also used to using USDT. So, I'm not so afraid to use it.
