You can find that most of them were resolved but you should take this into account.

In addition to high fees, they are a good only for those who do not want to use central platforms and want to buy less than $ 50 for those altcoins that have small exchange fees.

What we would love to hear usually from such reviews is, how was your deposit withdraw with one crypto exchange and any other unique experiences not just their features as what you have mentioned are available on the intro page of any services.

I think there is one thing in the cons column that has not been listed, namely (the security level of the hacked exchange) with the fate of traders who suffered losses due to the GATE.IO exchange being hacked some time ago. maybe they have fixed it, but efforts to recover the losses of every trader who are victims to date have not been confirmed clearly. even seem too relaxed.

• how is fiat deposit being supported a Con?, you(op) or anyone else who agrees with this mind explaining cus I really want to understand, because to me, being able to deposit fiat directly to crypto exchange without any issues is supposed to be a good feature.
• interface not being newbie friendly, this I totally agree, though the mobile app is more newbie friendly than the website, but they both still need lots of improvement.

I have with gate exchange, I've made lots of transactions there without any known issues, though I don't day trade, i personally have never had any issues with deposit or withdrawal from the exchange, though withdrawal fees for some assets are sometimes unreasonably high even when it's not supposed to, but I believe this is common with most centralized exchanges... My best centralized exchange for now remains kucoin exchange.

Please note that Gate.io have a habit of first letting someone register and deposit into the accounts with no hiccups at all but as soon as they try to make a withdrawal of the funds, whether they have traded or not, their accounts get blocked and in order to get back the money they have to first undergo KYC verification.

On other words, they hijack your money until you send them your sensitive documents.

Everything is all fine with gate.io exchange until you realize the fees of the exchange is too hefty, they charge 0.2% as trading fees with zero discounts which are almost 3 times the fees Binance charges if you pay using BNB. Also technically they aren't offering anything different than Binance or FTX. It obviously was a good option for US citizens earlier because it was headquartered in US itself but now with Binance US and FTX US which are dedicated exchanges for the US in picture, it makes almost zero sense for anyone to choose Gate exchange over Binance or FTX, even the number of coins on Binance/ Kucoin is much higher than on Gate.

Gate.io is old and they are not scam so far. Since 2020, they bind more with meme coins and are quite more easily to list coins but it is not strange. As an exchange, it is fine and normal if they care of trading volume and what they can get from trading fees.

Gate.io is a coin where we have Shiba Inu before Binance can not skip it and list $SHIB on Binance.

I only don't like the interface of Gate.io. You don't see the total value of your sell order if you don't scroll the bar left to right to see that detail. It is very inconvenient.

I've heard a lot of scam accusation with Gate.io though I didn't experience with myself but I see that kind of reviews or accusation, I'm staying away. Yes, gate.io is still consider as one of the top crypto exchange despite of those accusation in terms of marketcap, and many traders are still using it for some reason. Well, you can really use this with caution and understand the risk of dealing with the exchanges.

I've heard a lot of scam accusation with Gate.io though I didn't experience with myself but I see that kind of reviews or accusation, I'm staying away.

I don't have problems with Gate.io and since 2020, they are very fast to distribute airdrops to users. They don't delay airdrops like Binance. Binance blame that they have to prepare wallets and many things, just as reasons to delay distributions. Gate.io don't do that. If considering Binance is better with higher quality of developers, they should build wallet and distribute airdrops faster than Gate.io.

Yes, gate.io is still consider as one of the top crypto exchange despite of those accusation in terms of marketcap, and many traders are still using it for some reason. Well, you can really use this with caution and understand the risk of dealing with the exchanges.

People don't do their research and invest randomly when they see 100% or 500% green candles. They blame on exchanges when their investment ends with lose.

I always dream about a directory of crypto related services with honest reviews. From our service discussion board, we could get few recommendations from high rank people and new and low rank people are usually known for shilling either for their campaign reasons or they might be part dev team.

I only don't like the interface of Gate.io. You don't see the total value of your sell order if you don't scroll the bar left to right to see that detail. It is very inconvenient.

This must be a real time user's review. This is why I do skip all newbies and low rank people when it comes about all services related boards of this forum.

At least there should be a topic to link all reviews so that people may not face big hassles just before they are going to spend for any services.

That platform is not good mate, indeed until now i didn't receive any solution from the support to recover my account, it's been long time actually since i forgot my password but seems they are not interested to solve my issue. they want me to pass information but what i remember is i didn't set KYC in it, so i stopped contacting them.. In fact its just a small amount and it's a bad idea to sacrifice my personal information for it, wherein despite as well after making research how to solve my problem i found some negative comments about that exchange. So definitely a bad idea to pass my personal information.. Lol

I once made a transaction at gate.io, and coincidentally at that time the verification went smoothly, in fact I just found out that the response to consumers was not as good as you described. but if we get tokens and exchanges that are only available there, I want it or not we have to use them. but for trading using personal capital, I think it's better on a trusted platform, which is safer

Since you said its a Chinese exchange, I would steer clear. Based on how the Chinese government is cracking down everything related to crypto currencies, you never know when the exchange might disappear along with your funds. Why use a lesser known exchange when better exchanges exists?
