Do you think betting on Games/Events/Competition is evil

To be honest, it's actually one of the most important businesses I would approve in a town I'm a leader in. But I will develop them in a way that will really be beneficial to the town. Betting is really very useful if you know how to make it useful, and it can be abused.

Let's call it Prediction or Betting Market not Gambling, ok?

If in you religion it is considered as banned or in your country it is banned and still you do then that is evil. If if it is legal and as a part of fun or just in hope to make some money you do it and have a control over it then should be fine.

i cant say evil , but addictive yes. Which can lead into people getting loans just to bet and selling thinks they need so thay can play and maybe win their money back. i bet a little myself not gonna lie, but i do it with money i can lose. gambling becomes betting when you know what you are doing , if you just do it because you can its gambling and there is when people get addicted...

If it's good/moral and is banned by your "religion" Or in your country, you did no wrong if you use it, otherwise it could be considered a crime to do what is good/moral. The purpose of Law is to guide us to do what is good/moral. The law shouldn't stop us from doing what is right. OK?

Nothing wrong with gambling, just make sure you do it in moderation. Only gamble with amounts that you can afford to lose. Don’t risk the rent money etc. it can be fine if you’re able to control it.

I think it’s not that we should try to look at different ways of making money if we look for financial freedom. However, it is stupid if you do not know the betting rules.

I do not think that this is bad, how everyone decides for himself whether to play or not, but this is just one of the ways of entertainment, it is clear that a person who comes to play with the aim of making money does not fully understand that everything is not so simple.

Ofcourse. The intention of players/bettors matters. So that's probably why some would see nothing in it while others will see it as a bad thing. How the movie or entertainment industry portray it could also play a role. If they keep telling people that banana or pig is evil long enough, alot of people will definitely believe and probably start hunting down people who eat banana or pig.

I actually have couple of betting sites (probably alot) i bookmarked long ago to use later. I try to make sure the games/competitions are moral before bookmarking them. Interestingly betting are some of the few businesses I have bookmarked.

You need to know everything in moderation, if you bet your last money you lose and look for a way to win back without everything what good is that? But if you bet for fun not a lot of money and can stop what's wrong with it?

Of course not. It's almost impossible to win due to the vig, though. When you take a bet or trade with high fees you are essentially paying for your opinion. Personally, I would rather spend my money on cars, food, vacations, etc. than opinions, but to each his own.

If it for fun it is sometimes interesting but make sure not to be addicted because it can ruin you.

It is a risky game of luck ,betting on games ,competitions ,boxings fight ,race and visual bet are all risk game of luck,tho some get lucky enough to smile home with cool cash while some make some looses instantly, it is a win or lose game of trial based on predictions or forecast.
I wont consider as evil but an addiction which needs alot of effort to stop,just like in casino gambling, you become an addicted gambler ,it either you win or lose but your chances of winning are very narrow,many peoole have lost there properties ,assets through gambling and betting ,while some have become successful from this same gambling and betting, there is always a losing story to talk about.

I don't think it's evil in and of itself. The only problem is that some people get carried away too much and cease to control themselves. I bet on games from time to time, but only to increase interest in the game, nothing more. It should never be a source of income, but just a small hobby with little spending in relation to your wallet. Then it's okay.

Sports betting is not the devil but it is a matter of guessing the result of a game i prefer things where the component, human ability is more decisive like poker for example

I do not think there is anything evil about gambling. In my opinion, there is no problem with enjoying the thrill of gambling as long as it doesn't become a problem. Having a gambling problem is all about consequences and if you are not experiencing any, I think I should be allowed to have some fun.

On the other hand, if you are experiencing negative consequences from your gambling habit, such as financial strain or its affecting your relationships with others, I would say it may be time to consider if it has become a problem. Personally, I think it's good to take a personal inventory of the cost and benefits of gambling but for me its doesn't have many negative consequences.

Well, I have made a couple of predictions recently with zero risk. If I had stake something valuable in the bets or predictions, the risk would still be zero for me because they were won. I believe some humans are better at predicting things than others

Of course, I think betting on games and events is bad.  Because most of it is lost.

Betting can be both bad and good base on how the user uses and utilizes it.
I won my first ever 100k + Naira from sport's betting, I didn't steal the the fund's used to bet, I didn't borrow either, but these day people steal and borrow funds just too bet. It's a good idea you want too infuse for your people as a leader for me, hope they know the risk involved when it comes to betting and they shouldn't bet what they can't afford to loose. People don't have a good plan and strategy and don't know when to stop betting. I'm lucky enough to not have a PTSD betting from scratch.
I think it's good but they should follow morals and ethics when it comes to betting.
