If you're starting a thread like this, first make sure it's in the right section (because I have a feeling it might not be) and then give more details about what you're doing rather than just providing a link to an external website.  It's easier on the community, and you'll probably get a better response if you elaborate on your plan instead of making people go elsewhere to find out.

How would a secret Santa thing work on a forum dedicated to bitcoin, anyway?  That's what I'd like you to explain (here in this thread).

It is basically a Google Form asking for your name here in the forum, email address, mailing address, your "secret Santa Wishlist", and a rating of 1-5 (Rate how naughty or nice you've been this year.)

That was what happened when I shortened the link to the Google Form.

You are right, better move it to Off-Topic.

I use Google Forms as it is easier to do the draw with this than with just BitcoinTalk as I don't have to dox anyone along the way.

A Secret Santa is when people anonymously gift something to a randomly designated person for Christmas.

How it works is basically respondents put in the necessary details in the Google Forms, I will match up the people who are receiving the gifts to the people who are gifting them randomly and I dm the participants with their giftee's details.

Basically, it works like any other forum Secret Santa I have seen.

It is the first Secret Santa I have ever done, so I am inexperienced with this.

What did you expect to happen? of course people will think its phishing. I see you try to do good thing but people are carefull of everyone i wouldn't click on the link too

Sorry OP, but that is how this works, you know.

One thing it is to plan a Secret Santa event within your favorite anime Discord server and another completely different thing it is to request obvious personal information on a webpage about digital assets where people with a lot of money participate on.

Besides, the information your are requesting could be sold on the darknet, ect.

Next time, try to contribute in a different and yet wholesome way, which would not involve asking strangers on internet their home address.
