1 week is really very less time I have to say, moreover the one week when btc was absolutely green with no red candles what so ever, my wealth would have automatically grown by 10% just by holding bitcoin for a week without any trade that you have made, I sometimes consider even 1 year to be a very less time to judge anyone's trading skills because many bull markets last for more than a year so the change of the mega trend can sometimes take more than a year so your strategy might not work in the next mega trend therefore 2 years is good time to declare yourself a trading master anything less than that is just stupidity.

That will depend on how good a beginner can understand every lesson that he got because every beginner will have a different understanding to get the point from the lessons. If you made profit in span of 1 week, probably the market is bullish, the reason why you're lucky to gain. I am not so sure about that, even if you are really good at TA there are many books which state there are market conditions that are so extreme, dangerous and unreadable that the best course of action is simply to not trade and just do something else with your time, and I think the crash after a huge bull market falls within that category, as the crash can be massive and it is going to be very difficult to react fast enough to it and even if you have sell orders in place the slippage will be massive under those circumstances, so it is better to avoid trading too much under those conditions.

If you are trying to refer shorting then I am not positive about that because it is always good to go buying with bitcoin market because the overall trend is always bullish and going against the overall trend may trap you one day or other.

The thing about TA is that there is a truth in TA not being enough, however it doesn't make it useless neither so it puts people in weird situations. It all depend on your lucky. You can trade cryptocurrency for just a week and you can make some profit if you trade good coins, unless you trade some shitcoins that have die already. I have a friend that trade a coin just for four days and he was able to make some huge profit. You can even trade for five months and you will not make any profit, if you don't understand charts in cryptocurrency, in fact you will continue losing if care is not taking. That's the key difference here, in a week even the best trader could have the worst week or the worst trader could have the best week. It is a very small sample size and that tells us nothing at all. I had weeks where I did 10x profit and I had weeks where I lost 80% as well, so I can't really base how good or bad I am on any week of my life, so neither should anyone else.

What you can get from a week is to see if you could leave emotions out when you are trading. That is a very important thing when you are trading and if you could do that then you could become a decent trader in the future, if you are new and you could leave emotions out of trading, that would be the only thing to learn about you in a single week.

The best outcome happened when most of them were right all together at the same time but that rarely ever happened, like whenever there is a crash of 40%+ in a single month, buy bitcoin, because 99%+ chance it will go up in the near future, which has always happened aside from 2018 and even then we managed to recover pretty well later on haven't we. So, learning by watching and repeating does help you out a lot but takes a long time.

If you want to grasp the market, you should only use small funds to try and see how it works for you. But don't expect that the experience will be the same with other alts because it is not. It is possible. There are lots of stories that I've heard and seen on the past where they can be able to turn a small amount of money into a big one. It was only about consistency, and doing a lot of trial and error till they finally make it.

Trading is not an inborn skill so yes anyone that has a strong will power can do it even if trading is tagged to be a hard activity here in crypto.
