①Metaverse and its Trend

Vision's design inspiration comes from a visionary Si-Fi story --<Snow Crash> published in 1992. The Auther Mr.Neal Stephenson visually described a imaginative future world, the world of the metaverse.


The Metaverse is still seen as the future by many in Silicon Valley. Google, for example, has put a lot of money into augmented reality (AR), which is a technology that allows you to look at the real environment while also seeing digital 3D things superimposed on top. And rumors abound that Apple is working on virtual reality eyewear. Facebook, in particular, looks to be the most committed to this new vision.

The meta universe can be understood as a virtual world parallel to the real world. In the meta universe, people can accomplish anything they can do in reality.
The virtual world Oasis depicted in the "Ready Player One" movie is generally considered to be the prototype of the meta-universe.
Roblox, the well-known company for metaverse, sees ‘Metaverse’ as the Key to the Internet’s Next Phase.
The CEO of Facebook Mark Zuckerberg expects the company to transit from a so-called social media company to a Metaverse entity in the next 5 years.


As more companies enter the Metaverse space, the Metaverse industry is rapidly growing, and it will eventually have an impact on everyone's lives.

④Token Distribution


Ecosystem (24%)
24% of the supply will be used to fund outstanding projects deployed in the Vision Network. Developers are encouraged to submit funding proposals to the voting committee for consideration. The fund will be granted once it has been approved.

Community (24%)
Another 24% of the supply is allocated to reward community contributors, evangelists, and volunteers. The actual amount of rewards will be performance-based.

Token Sales (23%)
The main participating roles in the token sales are strategic investors, experienced nodes, stake pools, wallets, communities, key opinion leaders, and etc., All with one common goal: to create a true metaverse home for Vision to develop and grow. All proceeds from the token sale will be used to develop and maintain the Vision Network.

Vesting Plan

75% of the tokens sold will be subject to a one-year vesting period starting one year from the Genesis day. The releasing schedule will be in a linear per-block (3 seconds per block) fashion. The remaining 25% of tokens sold will be in circulation.

Team (13%)
The Vision founding team will receive 13% of the token supply.

Foundation (8%)
The Vision Foundation is responsible for market making of the VS tokens in circulation.

Protocol Labs: (8%)
Protocol Labs are responsible for the development of the Vision Protocol.

What is Vs


The native token of Vision is VS. A brand new currency stores value of Vision permanently, securely, and transparently.

Every VS holder also holds a stake in the Vision network. VS stored in a wallet can be pledged and voted to a stake pool to earn specialized-minting rewards to participate in the successful running of the network or just simplely pledged as liquid asset in your wallet to receive spread-minting rewards. In time, VS will also be usable for a variety of applications and services on the Vision Ecosystem.

What is VRC-10
 

VRC-10 tokens are issued by system contract. VRC-10 is a technical token standard supported by the Vision blockchain natively without the Vision Virtual Machine (VVM). Every account is capable of issuing tokens at the expense of 1024 VS. Users can lock their tokens in separately. To issue tokens, the issuer needs to specify a token name, total capitalization, the exchange rate to VS, circulation duration, description, website, maximum photon points consumption per account, total photon points consumption, and token freeze.

VS Minting Mechanism



Vision has a complete inflation and deflation mechanism. The pledge rate is calculated during each maintenance cycle. At the end of the business cycle, the average PledgeRateInEconomyCycle of all maintenance cycles in the business cycle is calculated.

When averagePledgeRateInEconomyCycle exceeds 60%, the inflation rate is 23.22%

When averagePledgeRateInEconomyCycle is lower than 60%, the inflation rate is 6.89%

About resource model

 

Vision Network has four types of resources: Photon, CPU, Storage and RAM. Benefit by Vision's exclusive RAM model, Vision's RAM resource is almost infinite.

Vision Network imports two resource conceptions: Photon points and Entropy. Photon Point represents Photon; Entropy represents CPU and Storage.

Vision Network also introduced two quantifiable resources, FV and SPREAD, where FVGUARANTEE means node pledge, and SPREAD means promotion pledge.

Note:

  * Ordinary transaction only consumes Photon points
  * Smart contract related transaction consumes not only Photon points, but also Entropy
