IDEAS Governance DAO is here! ‎

We are pleased to announce the upcoming implementation of a Governance DAO functionality for IDEAS.

Firstly, let us provide a brief explanation of what a Governance DAO is.
It is a decentralized application that empowers token holders to propose and vote on various topics. This functionality adds significant value to the holders of IDEAS.

In the future, we plan to establish our own DAO Governance.
However, to apply the solution now, we have opted to utilize a complete solution offered by another project called Aragon.

The Governance DAO will be deployed on a test-net network to ensure that transactions remain free of charge for IDEAS token holders.

We will gradually share more information, including how the Governance DAO will operates, who can participate, and the rules and conditions involved.

How to get Ethereum on Goerli network?


As mentioned before the IDEA DAO will be deployed on the Goerli testnet network to keep the transactions free of charge.

You can get the Goerli Ethereum for free from faucets on the internet.
We’ll link below some of those faucets:

Here you just paste your address and click send.

Here you connect your wallet, choose Ethereum and Goerli as networks and click send.

Note:
For the Goerli Eth to be shown on your metamask, you must add its network.
For this, click the metamask network tab at the top right, and click the show test networks in the settings.

IDEAS DAO Online!



Dear all,

We are pleased to announce that the IDEAS DAO has been deployed and is now online!

Mumbai Test Network
We have chosen to deploy the DAO on the Mumbai testnet network instead of the Goerli network because it’s easier to get and faster than the Goerli network.

Holders
As previously mentioned, all holders with more than 10k IDEAS are eligible to participate in the DAO, and those with more than 50k IDEAS can create propositions (These numbers can be updated through propositions within the DAO).

Connect To The DAO
Further down, you will find information on how to join the DAO.

If you find the process too technical, worry not, as we will be releasing instructional videos in the upcoming days that explain how to join the DAO, create propositions, and cast votes.

Add Mumbai Network
Firstly, open your Metamask wallet and add the Mumbai network.

To do this, click on the “add network” button in the Metamask wallet and then select “add network manually”, and enter the following information:

Network Name: Mumbai
New RPC URL: https://polygon-mumbai.infura.io/v3/481a4cdc7c774286b8627f21c6827f48
Chain ID: 80001
Currency Symbol: MATIC

Get Matic (testnet)
Mumbai serves as a Matic test network.
To acquire free Matic on the Mumbai network, simply follow this link: https://faucet.polygon.technology/

Select Mumbai and Matic token, paste your address, and click submit.

You will receive an amount of Matic token (testnet) for the transactions.

Connect
Next, access the DAO through this link: https://app.aragon.org/#/daos/mumbai/0x52e23e3fa0735ee8d3cb47ea898a9f5eacf1dbdc/dashboard

Connect your wallet by clicking the connect button located in the top right corner.

Congratulations! You are now connected to the DAO and can actively engage with it by creating propositions or casting votes.

More Information
Please note that when establishing the DAO, we also generated a token specifically associated with it.
This token solely grants voting powers to its holders.
Although this token holds no value in the crypto market, it can be transferred to other addresses.
However, be aware that if you send it to another address, you will forfeit your voting power.
In this DAO version, the token created is named IDEAS (IDEAS).

Dear all,

The Mumbai network is working again, and we have successfully deployed the IDEAS DAO of July 2023.

As a friendly reminder, we have the capability to create one complete functional DAO for the project on the Ethereum network.
However, we prefer to continue with this process of creating a new DAO each month just to avoid the high fees that could take place using the DAO on the Ethereum network.

In the future, the plan is to have a wrapped version of IDEAS on either the Matic or BNB networks, and then have the final DAO deployed on one of these networks.

Dear all,
We are delighted to announce the launch of an updated version of the IDEAS platform!

Highlights of the recent enhancements include:

You can now search for other users.
Enter and check the profile of other users.
Data from the Donation Post can now be saved.
Implementation of a Settings page.
Other edits and changes to the profile section, and the platform in general.

In the current version, the Donation post remains partially operational, it is more advanced than before.
However, further progress on the smart contract aspect is required for full functionality.

Additional time is required for us to finalize the platform. 

We'll always be here working on it, and we'll do our best to finish it according to our roadmap.
