Honestly I stopped holding doge after profiting from it, maybe people like you will get a good lesson in this market when fomo.

Yes, Dogecoin can surpass ATH, but we do not know when that will happen. I also sold all Doge in the last ATH and do not have many Doge right now, but if the price drops too deep, I think I will buy some amount and hold for a long time. Buying BNB or ETH could be good, but unfortunately, the price is already higher so perhaps, buying a low coin price will be good as we don't have to spend much money to buy it.

Right now, the competition between the two memes doge coin and shiba has also shown that dogecoin is really losing its appeal.

Dogecoin has been out of Elon's word now so meaning this will take another long time before having a possibilities of increasing like what did last few months ago, If I were you best to sell all the coins and convert to other altcoin that has potential of increasing sooner.

Indeed, dogecoin price increased for the FOMO. And Elon's tweet was the main reason behind it. Dogecoin isn't moving forward with FOMO now. And dogecoin won't be able to overcome it's previous ATH soon. OP should have exchange or swap his dogecoin earlier. The swap should be done with proper analysis. However, doge has increased significantly in last 24 hours. It's a sign of recovery, but don't hesitate to swap your doge if it goes down again.

1. the person intentionally buys at a high price and will hold or for collection.
2. the person is stuck on FUD

To hold for Dogecoin is not just you are wasting your time but your money as well. It rather has to divert it to another crypto than wait for long. A lot of coins have the potential, Dogecoin is just a meme coin, although it showcases a huge pump because of Elon Musk, I'm in doubt if that be going to happen again, that was really uncertain. So before it was totally has gone, it was a great move to sell it and invest in other coins. We should not hope that Elon Musk will get back and make some market hypes again, seems so hopelss.

He invested when the price was at an all time high according to him and until and unless there is a major correction in the market there is no point in selling at a loss. If he invested a couple of hundred dollars then it is better for him to hold rather than to sell off right now. That's too long but this is applicable to the best cryptos in the market including bitcoin and ethereum. I have the assurance with the top coins but if you're going to hold for the unknown cryptos in the market and you've just chosen them lately, you don't expect a lot from them for that long or you become lucky with them. It's hard to know since the market is very volatile and there are cryptocurrencies that we can't know what the future holds them.
