I’m pretty sure that ETH will not only survive but will bring you a good profit. Polkadot and Cardano are also good and won’t scam. As for further three alts: Luna, Theta and Avax - I never dealt with them. But if you want to make Hodl for next 5 years then it’s better to add a bit BTC into your portfolio ( I’m sure that in 5 years you will be pleasantly surprised by grains from this investment).

I would say you have a pretty good portfolio right there and i would also say that each of these coins has a very high chance to be still around and also of relevance in 5 years. ETH has the biggest share of your portfolio and that is a pretty good idea because that way you are relatively safe that the biggest chunk of your investment is into a very safe and established project. Maybe you will not see a 10x of your investment of ETH but there is still room for significant growth. Cardano has some problems at the moment with delivering their smart contract functionality and it has been postponed now a couple of times but if they deliver you will see a nice profit there too.

I think 5 years is a long time to invest in cryptocurrencies, even though the 5 coins are currently very strong but I don't dare to hold it for up to 5 years, many things and surprises often happen especially ETH transaction fees are currently very high so I'm worried that ETH will be abandoned a lot devs. and user and this will make ETH worthless.

For the next few years, some of these coins (Ethereum and Cardano) are still able to survive they have a good amount of demand and a good market capitalization. As is the case with BNB which is currently the top coin that has a high number of transactions because it is supported by exchanges and networks that are relatively cheap. It's coins like that that are great to keep as an asset for the future.

Right now predicting about any coins is not possible but after watching OP's list I am feeling these all are good and have some good potential for surviving not even 5 years may be can go long because projects are solid, and use case is also very strong for them.

But, if he is able to add some more solid coins like BNB and Solana it's surely going to give him very good profit in long run because these are also very good and bright projects for long term investments. Even market is full of crap, but OP have some better investment and this can be very profitable for him and many others also can go with them without any problem.

Your suggestion I think is acceptable to the OP in terms of needing to add a solid coin rosters. What if we suggest adding the names of the coins that are in the top 10 order. Although that is very common, at least the top 10 coins can provide a good level of security for investment.

If the 5 types of altcoins have strong fans or communities, I think they will last longer in the market. for example cardano, ethereum and possibly polkadot will continue to dominate the market for the future

Yeah community is more important one for the success of a coin still building a stronger community is not that easier because it requires real potential to attract adapters, investors and traders. Lots of coins, I have seen are lagging in any of real life utilities which means they are purely created for speculative purposes alone. So, you cannot expect them to be flourishing ever as they will definitely get dumped over the time.

for Avax, THETA, and TERRA LUNA we can't say for sure if it will be good for the next 5 years or just a name.

The dangers of new coins always prevail. Personally I will not risk into such new things rather I will opt to go with old and reputed coins as they got minimum assurance for my capital at least in USD value even I always look to gain in BTC values.

But i think majority of the coins you have mentioned can surpass the five years you have mentioned to many more years coming. Ethereum is a good coin with good project developers. Ethereum has the potential of surviving even after 5 years so we can expect more from Ethereum. Cardano and Poka are also good coins which I expect more movement from them.

Safe to say that ETH is going to survive just because of how it's established and solidified its name, and since you invested more on Ethereum than the other coins, you'll definitely gain profit from it in the next 5 years, Cardano does seem promising, but I can't tell if the other coins will last for 5 years, some coins die easily.

Everything is good and a good investment, but I am more dominant to ETH because FUD news is very rarely exposed to and has very strong fundamentals along with the community and JP MORGAN supports Ethereum!
