What is 4K?

4K is the world’s first decentralized marketplace for NFTs backed by physical assets. 4K acts as the bridge between physical and digital worlds by enabling users to buy and sell authenticated, tokenized goods.

How does it work?

1. User sends item(s) to 4K
2. 4K authenticates, stores, and insures the item
3. 4K issues an NFT to the user that is redeemable for the item(s) anytime

Once the user receives the NFT, they can do whatever they want with it: sell it on the 4K marketplace, sell it on a different marketplace, gift it to a friend, burn it to redeem for the actual item, or use it to get a collateralized loan by plugging into DeFi. Since users must send 4K the NFT in order to redeem it for the physical asset, users cannot possess both the physical object and the NFT simultaneously.

Why would I want to buy an NFT of a physical item?

1. NFTs enable you to buy and sell items without having to physically settle or re-authenticate with each trade
2. Storing your item with 4K eliminates the need for you to worry about keeping your valuables safe and secure
