People tend to make quick money but forget that money generation needs time and they can't get rich overnight. If they'd have invested in those early days, they might have made even 100-1000x on their investments on a few coins. While they're now seeing the markets when the bull run has reached its peak for many coins, it's always better to take necessary steps of doing enough research before putting even a cent on a coin.

Yeah, the current phase is for harvesting, probably a few more attacks by bears will create an impulse for a downtrend on altcoin markets. The general trend is bullish but the bears will not easily let the altcoins go up so easily before taking BTC price to the old ATH level, IMO. Let's see what will November do for altcoin investors, if the market goes down and altcoins follow BTC footprints then it is clearly a bear market. In the best case, next January altcoins will repeat the old ATH altcoin season like in 2018.

I believe bitcoin is following thesame pattern which it follows 2020 and thesame pattern 2013, so if bitcoin is following thesame pattern then what we should be expecting next for altcoins is bull run. But by December we all have to be careful because anything can happen.

Why still look at the month of October if it's just a few days for it to end.

I don't know about nws but I think polygon and stellar are still good coins to consider. I think that by next month, we'll still have some good signs for the market.

You shouldn't expect such a target just for October. This month is still just the usual month.

Just try to be carried by any trend and follow it. October hasn't to do with it. We just have to watch the progress whenever it will occur. And when our target event happened, we should be ready for it.

It’s hard to say what October will be really, especially for alts. At first I was bearish on alts because Bitcoin was pumping and when it broke the ATH I didn’t expect it to close under the ATH the next day. I was expecting it to pump for the next couple of weeks with alts going down.

In the first place, we all know that the market always unpredictable, second, nowadays when people find out that we are in the bull run season,

I also think that October is a strong month for alt coins. With hindsight this was probably the turning point that moved us into the next rally. We will likely see more price increases in November and December but not as strong as this month. There are a few fundamental things that drive prices higher. First of all the corona pandemic seems contained, international travelling is possible again. For example we can travel now to USA again without a special permit. This should give an economic boost for the hotel and leisure sector. The second factor behind a strong crypto market is the rising inflation. We still have very low interest rate and need to find a way to invest our money. Saving in a bank account is no option anymore, the only real alternatives left are cryptos, stocks or commodities. However most investors already hold stocks and commodities, that leaves cryptos as the only real opportunity to diversify our money. Whenever we have dip people start selling or refrain from buying but they do buy when coins are at there ATH. Market is taking correction, btc and eth are still at very high price and that's the primary reason why most alts are also near ATH. So it's not a good time to buy.
Oct may become good for alts provided btc remain above 60k.

I sort of agree with your opinion,  altcoin rally started long time ago,  precisely in January.  Look at Etc price from $4 to more than $100 before correction to $50 range.  Decred is also another 1000 x and many L2 coin like Matic,  avax,  bnb,  kcc etc.  The bull market circle is driven by bitcoin and bitcoin is testing new ATH!

OP, you should realise that history has a way of repeating itself. Until Bitcoin loses steam, alts don't start their rally. As it's now, it's very obvious that Bitcoin is still waxing strong, hitting and breaking resistant points. Sometime recently I shared a table with a forecast that Bitcoin will continue to rally until November. In 2017, I'm using that year as instance because it was also a post Bitcoin halving year like 2021, alts started their rally in the first quarters of 2018 after Bitcoin ended its in December 2017. It's the same way I see alts commencing theirs in 2022 after Bitcoin ends its this December. This is just my speculation. It may be right or wrong. Whichever way, whatever we see in alts going up in price now isn't a rally for alts. It's best described as flash in a pan. Wait until alts rally begins you will realize that what's happening now is child's play.

Well I see Polkadot making lots of noise with its parachain auction. I had to do some research on the project and I'm impressed. Not giving this as an investment advice but maybe putting in few dollars could turn out to be profitable for trade purpose only. You should understand that unless Bitcoin does increase in price, neither of this altcoins will be getting any attention. First Bitcoin has to show some positive signs of bull for the altcoins to pick up.

The goodness is that Bitcoin isn't finished yet. We still have a chance of more increase in price before the bull runs comes to an end then we start battling with the bears that might take years. We are hoping for more increase not just for the next month but until December, however, we can decline the possibilities of price corrections, and might after this new ATH we've been having a huge decline as well. In fact, Bitcoin is moving down slowly, it is possible that altcoins will come next to it.

I have no doubt if some of us here would likely to see october as a great opportunity for altcoins rather than in bitcoin. This month has made a lot of noticeable remarks that made us more gain confidence in crypto. Bitcoin hits its new ATH and ethereum too is working on its own.

Well it doesn't matter when the bear comes but one thing is certain, it's the third birth time to buy just as I have said assuming you must have missed all the other times highlighted but the OP I was replying to. In regards the bear season, well it take just one event to trigger it. from my own opinion and from the outdated knowledge I have the market for the thousands of altcoin are not connected to bitcoin and Ethereum or a random altcoin they are only connected through the user or holder on which we or the user can buy, sell or rather do an exchange. That is when I know that the value could change for random altcoins.

Actually, the price of Bitcoin is backing up high after a shortfall. That I was thinking for it drops a few more days and able to reach $40k before the spike comes again but too fortunate that it never happens. Bitcoin could go up without altcoins, and altcoins could go up after bitcoin has gone up.
So, for a short period of time there is a situation where altcoins go up when bitcoin doesn't move at all.

If you have been here long enough (which looks like you have) you know that after bitcoin reaches a peak, it drops just a smidge and then alt season starts where bitcoin stays around the same price and then alts go up like crazy. That is called alt season and that almost always happens after bitcoin reaches to a new all time high and a big one at that (not like the new record we had recently).

So, I believe that we will have alt season, and it will not be based on bitcoin at all, it will be based on purely alts.
