Litecoin Foundation 18k Gold Ledger S

I wanted to get the communities thoughts on this one. I was conducting some research on designer crypto items and stumbled across a 18k solid gold ledger s.

The litecoin foundation sold them as a fundraiser in 2017 for 198Ltc at the time.

I would love to know the whole story on this and if anyone in the community actually has one.

Also accessing the capacity of potentially making a similar design but out of 999 silver as a limited release. although I don't have the technical knowledge regarding it.

That makes more sense on so many levels ^{[e.g. price, color and etc...]} and at one point, they "were considering it", but not sure what happened.

You might want to contact Charlie Lee ^[coblee] about it ^{[here's his "tweet"]}. AFAICS, it didn't have any story behind its creation ^{[unless I missed it somehow]}.
The following information might come in handy:

• From the time that the designer announced it ^{[June 23, 2017]} until January 31, 2018, they were able to sell 16 of those.
  ^{- Because of the reserved ones, the actual number should be slightly smaller!}
• From January 31, 2018 until December 18, 2019, they didn't sell anything!

Even if you'd be overpaying for something that only costs almost 1/4th of the amount that they were charging it for ^{[assuming that "this tweet" is accurate]}?
^{- I do know we're talking about a limited edition product but at most [IMO], it should've been around $6k [50 percent markup + another 50 percent for being a limited edition].}

I think it would be baller af to whip out your gold ledger to sign a transaction...
