Today I received multiple messages for deleting and merging of my posts made in topic Binance Seizing Accounts!.
Member Binance Coin later deleted his posts, maybe to hide the fact that he is a scammer who is impersonating Binance exchange, like it is suggested in this topic by suchmoon.
I clearly quoted his replies in conversation and I even edited last post after he deleted his own, as you can check in his archived posts.
You can check original unedited posts for that topic in Ninjastic.space and loyce.club website.

Is it ok for moderator to merge my posts that were not consecutive at the time of writing, after other member in that topic deleted all his own posts?
This looks like a time traveling case to me, and having conversation with someone can't create consecutive posts.

What happens when moderator deletes a post you quoted? Is it possible that the response to quoted post also get deleted? If the above is right, I think merging such reply is also okay.

No, it doesn't get deleted. And besides, it's not what OP is saying in the first place.

Now, someone must have reported the post so that a moderator deleted and merged them; since the timestamps was similar, it could be considered consecutive, and depending how hardass the mod handling it is... you get how it works. I personally wouldn't pay much attention to it

This looks like a time traveling case to me, and having conversation with someone can't create consecutive posts.

It's debatable, but it's not that bad, since the quotes did retain the other party's timestamp. And since the other party's replies are missing anyway, for the late reader it's not that big of a difference.
But again, it's debatable, since if you wouldn't have been "warning me" here, maybe I wouldn't have looked at the timestamps (although the red warning at the end of the post may somewhat suggest that).

I agree. Best advice.

I'd say this is okay. Don't look at it as a "punishment" for you, the Mod may not know there used to be a post in between, and the end result is that it complies with forum rules after merging.

Removing consecutive posts is about readability. When a single account has multiple posts written in a row in a thread, it makes the thread more difficult for others to read.

If someone deletes their posts that you were previously replying to, it would be appropriate for moderators to merge posts accordingly.

I don't think this is something that is going to lead to any kind of punishment or negative consequences for you.

the Mod may not know there used to be a post in between,
I think it should have been obvious, considering the timestamps of the quotes.

I think it should have been obvious, considering the timestamps of the quotes.
Mods handle a lot of reports and cases, so they may understandably miss a bit of info or two in the process of carrying out their duty.
When you also consider that quotes doesn't have to be fron the same thread the reply is made, it's much easier to merge them and very little harm is done.

No, posts will not get deleted, unless if member who created the topic is nuked and topic with all posts is deleted.

I'd say this is okay. Don't look at it as a "punishment" for you, the Mod may not know there used to be a post in between, and the end result is that it complies with forum rules after merging.
It was obvious from my posts with quotes that I participated in conversation with that binance impersonator and I edited last post adding archived links as a proof, so it's highly unlikely that moderator didn't saw that.
I don't look at it as punishment, but this means that anyone could delete some posts made months or years before, than report post from other members as consecutive, and that makes no sense to me.

I am locking this topic now, and I hope everyone is more aware with case of Binance Coin who is still active posting crap.
