Where to find the market cap of a token

I know that on CoinMarketCap you can find the total capitalization of a coin/token, but often this kind of data is not available because, maybe, the project is too little or, in the worst-case scenario, the project doesn't want this data to be visible (sometimes they use "self-declared" information about the market cap).


Does exist a website/explorer that could directly provide this information?


Another solution I was thinking about was to calculate the market cap by myself using blockchain explorers like Bscscan, the idea is to check the circulating supply that the explorer detects and confront it with the price shown on CMC (even better if directly checked on Pancakeswap) and do the math.


Could this be an acceptable solution to have, at least, an estimate of total capitalization?

I mean, yea marketcap is only price * supply so those are pretty much your only options. Also try looking at CoinGecko because there are coins/tokens that lack info on CMC but has more info on CG, and vice versa.

He said he found the most interesting NFT games to invest in, made a couple of investments, and made money. I'm not sure how reliable it is because I haven't tried it. Not sure if I would be willing to pay with it, though.

I do not know a single project that hides this information, but even if they try to hide it, they are not going to be hiding it too well since all the data you need is public. Nobody can hide amount of tokens there are, and nobody can hide the price of it, and if you have those two then you can have the market cap. Why would anyone want to try to "hide" something that is public data that everyone can use? I believe no place really hides it because of any reason like that.

Still I agree, if you know the price of the coin/token, and if you are able to get information on circulating supply then you can easily find the marketcap even they are hiding such info.

Market cap is only the price, as what I know. In crypto, market cap is calculated by multiplying the total number of coins that have been mined by the price of a single coin at any given time. Market capitalisation is an indicator that measures and keeps track of the market value of a cryptocurrency. I think that's it, I'm not that sure.

The answers is it depends on the project, but yes, it is relatively simple in most cases to find the market cap. First, see what markets does the token trade at. If it does not trade anyware, there is no marketcap (you could say its value is zero, as nobody is buying). Else, do a weighted average of the prices paid in the day and multiply by the number of tokens or coins outstanding. You should be able to do so in the project's block explorer. If they do not have a blockexplorer nor a way to see number of outstanding assets... then value is zero again.

If the coin is listed on fee exchanges and has some trading volume then you can calculate it easily on your own by total supply x current price = Market cap. But any project which has decent circulating supply will be listed on either coinmarket cap or coingecko if it is not present there then avoid considering those projects for safer side.

About total marketcap then its literally price x total supply which is direct to the point.
You could able to spot out those infos directly on both websites, you do just need to find
or look for it.

Got it and that's why the fully diluted marketcap can be manipulated.

The only thing that can be done to check it manually through etherscan but I'm sure that it will also a bit difficult to determine how much the circulating supply that available in the market as a site like etherscan or bscscan will be only mentioning the total supply.

It's not an acceptable solution. The only team who knows how much the real circulating supply in the market. It's quite difficult to know this since you will be found the data about total supply from bscscan.
