MidiStream is an interactive record label for trading NFT remix, sounds and live jamming sessions with rewards to artists and producers. Our token and NFT are build on the WAVES blockchain The ICO is starting on 1 November 2021 until 18 January 2022 FREE MDST tokens to give from 26 october to the end of the ICO All you have to do is leaving your WAVES wallet address there : https://midi.finance/ Enjoy Midistream is basically a projet created by Belgian coder Jean-Michel Dewez's team and released at SXSW 2018 hackathon.
This plateform offers to music composers, performers, remixers, sound designer and music lovers a new way to create, sell, buy, broadcast midi music with a multilevels reward system and plan to host the whole world's music offered to remixes.
Project have been successfully backed on kickstarter (2019).
MDST token has been created to resolve the problem to rewards both original artists and remixers in an unchangeable way thrustable by all record labels.
Then the solution has been abstracted to allow other usages not only midi music distribution.

Hello your project looks interesting The music industry clearly needs a meteor to end their dinosaurus age So your idea is to store elements of a tracks as nft to proove owernship from the author and allow other to compose from it to reward the original creator when a music track is sold using those elements from the original artists ? Midi is also great in that it doesn't use a lot of bandwidth and storage space compared to mp3 and make it easier to compose new music track from it, and make each part more easily reusable while preserving owership. Internet is also a great tool to make artists meet each others in a more decentralised way and work together to produce better music building on each other skills. How do you plan to attract artist to your platform ? What is your target audience ? The web music sequencer looks cool btw !

Thank you IadixDev, you clearly understood the mechanic of midistream The blockchain is here very important to secure the reward program because we have to pay artists, and quickly :-) It's also the best way to prove to majors that we sold eg. 1000 copies of Nirvana, not 100 eg. The midistreaming is incredibly fast, sometime faster than the speed of an USB controllers, we have some prototypes of a hardware interface made with a raspberry pi to stream the midi and we won some hackathons but that's another story About the ways to attract the users, so first the artists whom will promote them self their midistream's pages, We plan to organise competitions with nice rewards in differents scenes like MPC users, techno remixs, live streamed perf Then we will be able to catch some labels so their artists. Once we will be a welterweight, the idea is to push all the majors to grant us the use of their songs à la Spotify but midi We have a hidden catalog of 32000 tracks but the Belgian copyright company wasn't okay about that...

Yes it's one of the thing that is bothering with current centralised online platform is lack of accountability for the number of views. And the funding via third party advertising. And the algorithm who is not necessarily super good for smaller niche artists, neither very transparent. The midistreaming is incredibly fast, sometime faster than the speed of an USB controllers, we have some prototypes of a hardware interface made with a raspberry pi to stream the midi and we won some hackathons but that's another story
Yes midi is very efficient, it used to run on atari right and also favor connectivity of different devices, easy to stream etc About the ways to attract the users, so first the artists whom will promote them self their midistream's pages,
So there is something planned in the like of myspace to provide artist some promotional space ? We plan to organise competitions with nice rewards in differents scenes like MPC users, techno remixs, live streamed perf

I wouldn't count too much on majors to get along in this scheme, ( speaking of experience here ) , as they hated internet right off the bat since the beginning to keep their privilege on music creation and $$$s. But who knows ! We have a hidden catalog of 32000 tracks but the Belgian copyright company wasn't okay about that...
Yeah they still struggle with understanding internet and blockchain potential since the beginning, they have the brain of a dinosaurus waiting for a meteor

So there is something planned in the like of myspace to provide artist some promotional space ?
For now, midistream is fully functional with our NFT and MDST tokens, we offer great rewards for new midi tracks uploaded and blank tracks AKA sounds bundles for pads. There is also a chat between users of the same room and we highlight new and populars tracks. Later this year we will offer more attractive support and ads to make our artists brighter I wouldn't count too much on majors to get along in this scheme, ( speaking of experience here ) , as they hated internet right off the bat since the beginning to keep their privilege on music creation and $$$s. But who knows ! Yeah they still struggle with understanding internet and blockchain potential since the beginning, they have the brain of a dinosaurus waiting for a meteor Some international copyright facilitators are better to understand what's happening now. The Canadian Socam was helpful and told us that while we are not earning money, there is no hurry for anything, and when we will earn money, it will cost us between 15-20 %, which we will keep for them so... As Tiktok when it was sold for 3B didn't paid anything for the music they use.

When you look closely big platforms have rather abusive pratice for content creators. No wonder why they fail to attract really good content. But in the meanwhile, there is still not really good solution either as they are swamping all the audience with all the abusive practice and centralised market.

Yes, mySpace manage to stay interesting like underground probably because their wasn't a lot of money in the game and i think nothing for the artists except a nice tool to promote their music and gigs. We are trying to build something fresh as we use remixes and live performances. We will code tools for scheduled online gigs, covid proof and also MPC contests which is a big think on the Russian TV show
