Is anyone else having problems viewing MtGoxLive right now?
The price information is not updating properly, but the orders on the bid and ask side seem to be fine.
Damnit! Right when you need realtime information the most!

According to NIST and ECRYPT II, the cryptographic algorithms used in Bitcoin are expected to be strong until at least 2030. (After that, it will not be too difficult to transition to different algorithms.)

realtime information the most!

this is not an information. This is noise.

Information should be obtained from realworld to get the advantage.

615 currently connected is a new recent record.  The highest I've seen was around 700 some, back in August when btc was hanging around $10-$12, iirc.

only thing that keeps price 'stable' at the moment are flaky mtgox APIs - they freeze reportning data, all btc economy freezes

they should do something about their APIs
mirroring, load balancing, cdn, whatever

they could offer premium real time for monthly subscription and keep the current crappy api reporting free

so many different options and methods to aproach it and make it smooth.

when big waves come, only thing holding us back are mtgox api's  - which will not be impressive in general public view

 Angry

their own mtgoxlive is a joke as of late

Reminds me of the movie "Das Boot"

The submarine is being depth charged incessantly, everything is chaotic, water leaking every where, fires erupting and the Submarine Captain
yells out,  "Damage Reports !  I want proper damage reports !!!"

if we always going to have downtime on live data feeds during high trading times we will not get anywhere beyond being a small niche market

seriously, it's only feeding into the panic by people not being able to get real time movement.

Yes, it is unacceptable for a 'professional' service to have this problem for so long without fixing it.
