Among the many good value coins on the crypto market, only a few of the Altcoins of particular concern are Ethereum and Binance Coin. If Bitcoin is like a king, then the two coins are like a queen. Ethereum and Binance are on a good track and currently BNB is at $512 and ETH $4.3K. Reasonable price in my opinion. Has the journey of BNB and ETH been smooth from when it first appeared until now? |

Actually, the whole crypto market is doomed to mistrust sometimes, so journeys of no currencies were really smooth. Dumps and then new pumps, and now we see that these two coins are really one of the mainstream on this market. They have well-developed ecosystems with many users and defi-projects of different specialisation, so now they are the best ones. |

Without referring to the expanded growth in value (prices), both of them are backed by a solid project with a concrete product. I won't call them "Queens" because of the existence of many other good projects. I remember XRP and LTC were in second and third places after bitcoin and know they left the place for other projects. Note that Ethereum (EVM) is still under development. |

I don't know much about BNB but I have been holding ETH and I can't say that the journey has been smooth. Although ETH is at an ATH right now it has faced some serious dumps just like bitcoin. In the 2018 bear market the price of ETH wen from $1400 to $80 which is a huge dump to be honest. From $80 it has increased to the current price of $4300. So I would say ETH has definitely crossed it's hurdles to come to this price today. It has not been so easy but it has made it. |

Those two tokens except Bitcoin are dominant on there own crypto industry. I excluded Bitcoin since its the father of all crypto. Ethereum is the first mover on smart contract blockchain while Binance dominate the exchange industry by using unique advertisement on listing new tokens and providing a native token that let holders benefits on the profit of exchange which other top competitor exchange don't have that time like Bittrex, Poloniex and Huobi. Ethereum journey is not smooth as you are describing bec there's a lot of hack and split before the current ETH born and become strong. Binance is the only successful token from the beginning until now. |

And I remember about the ETH flippening, whereas some believe Ethereum will beat Bitcoin in terms of all aspects, especially price, well, It does not go smooth, if we look as of now. I didn't believe ETH will beat BTC anyway. But I don't think we can judge that the journey of it is smooth, from the things I mentioned

It was far from smooth here on the forum as I remember! The main thing we could see about ETH is that is one of the biggest scams! I don't wish to search for the comments from 2014 and 2015 about ETH, but if anyone looks for it will check what the community thought about ETH at that time... in my opinion, it was mostly negative, I remember it like that! BNB and Ethereum had different ways! I don't think they both had a smooth way to the top! But they did something amazing in the crypto world and definitely, they set up some standards! Now others can try to copy them, to do something better to get to the top... and who knows, maybe some pretenders for that top are already around! |

If you're asking for the price, just look at Coingecko or Coinmarketcap and click on price history. When it comes to the project development from inception, no. Definitely not especially for Ethereum. @iv4n already mentioned looking at ancient posts that's because there are many things they claimed in the past that didn't materialize. Basically, they (including Ethereum founders/developers) claimed they could provide solutions to Bitcoin issues like extremely cheap fees, less congestion, and fast transactions. Forward to the present, and we all know that's not the case. You can add all that to what @Beparanf said on DAO hack and blockchain split (Ethereum Classic). BNB had a much smoother ride in my opinion. Binance exchange came it at the right time when KYC on exchanges is still hated by almost everyone. They also offered a native exchange token to their users which was still a young concept in 2017. Apart from the hack which made CZ suggest a stupid blockchain rollback, I don't see much trouble BNB faced in the early years. |

BNB coin is a queen? No man! I cant consider it as a queen its too centralized in my opinion. Its usecase is only for one exchange and nothing more compare to eth which has a very broad usecase considering its the pioneer of smart contracts. Back to the topic I can say, this two coins went really smooth from the day they were introduced and listed on the market. For sure those who bought few years ago and still holding this two coins are in a million profit right now. |

ETH does not have smooth journey. Did you do research and did you know that ETH has a DAO Hack? It takes lot of time for Ethereum to recover from that DAO hack. Understanding the DAO attackA history of DAO hackBNB has smoother journey but it is not rosy roadway, Binance and BNB have spent significant effort and time to achieve what they have now. |

The journey of BNB and ETH is not smooth as it says because both BNB and ETH follow bitcoin moves.
BNB and ETH have a big chance to increase more but those coins need to be careful as many new coins or tokens can compete with BNB and ETH in the future.
If the new coins or tokens can offer better than BNB and ETH, the investors or traders will move to that new coins and tokens, which means BNB and ETH can lose popularity among them.
BNB can reach $1k in the future and ETH can reach $7,5k as long as the investors and traders still use and hold those coins as their investment.

ETH had a good start due to good advertising and a great roadmap but certainly not a smooth journey. It was subjected to a lot of criticisms, and was even subjected to dumps after that massive DAO hack in 2016. It took a lot for Vitalik and his team to regain the trust of the community after that, and here we are right now. Whereas in BNB, it was pretty much unknown for some time but gained some audience on 2019 and it steadily climbed from that point forward.

Who told you that this crypto space is smooth sailing? Even bitcoin in the beginning was supposedly to fail based on it's critics. And in the last ten years or so, there is a lot of ups and downs, and yet Bitcoin survived. Same with Ethereum, 3 years ago the price was less than $100, now look at it's growth. So it's like going to a lot of growing pains. The thing is that it survived the storm. But who knows, once the bear market sets again, we might see this crypto going down hard, so it's a total reset. |

ETH and BNB has their special ecosystem that difficult for other altcoins to compete, that's why both of those coin rising day by day.
but lately I'm more interested in BNB, by reason of cheap transaction fee and many project launch their Project in BSC Network.
powered by BCS a few more years ETH and BSC competition I believe will be equal.

I think not all times are smooth and favorable in both cryptocurrencies Ethereum and Binance, because Ethereum was also experienced a big problem during the DAO hacking incident not just involving the price dump but also down to its core development that resulted in a controversial hard fork, between Ethereum and Ethereum classic while Binance also experiencing many setbacks from hacking to many regulatory issues around the world so there's no such thing as smooth sailing for those two above mentioned cryptocurrencies. |

BNB coin is a queen? No man! I cant consider it as a queen its too centralized in my opinion. Its usecase is only for one exchange and nothing more compare to eth which has a very broad usecase considering its the pioneer of smart contracts. Back to the topic I can say, this two coins went really smooth from the day they were introduced and listed on the market. For sure those who bought few years ago and still holding this two coins are in a million profit right now. Just a parable. Ethereum deserves to be called the pioneer of smart contracts and BNB is now not just centered on exchanges either. Currently, BNB can rely on its Binance Smart Chain (BSC) network, which almost all major projects use. This is a big advantage that Binance has even though BNB and BSC are different types. |

I don't think so and maybe they are opposite to each other which is BNB is a centralized one and ETH is a decentralized currency. And I can't consider that BNB belonged to the queen of bitcoin, the fact is BNB was forked to ethereum and now they are running this as centralized crypto in the market and BNB purely depends on the Binance exchange, and if this exchange trading platform is down it will surely have an effect to the BNB price. There could be another altcoin that will follow on BNB position, there are a lot of them having competition in the market. |
