Hello,
I have XRP, EOS and XLM coins in the Freewallet and I want to move them to the Trust Wallet, but it needs Destination and Memo tags. How can I move my coins?

Thank you.

Trust wallet is not a custodial wallet, you can send it to the respective addresses on Trust wallet without memo or any other thing needed, the coin will reflect on the addresses it is sent too.

Memo and the likes are for custodial wallets and exchanges, not required while sending to noncustododial wallet address. Trust wallet is a noncustododial wallet and does not need it for the transactions, only what is needed are the addresses.

Hello,
Thank you so much for your reply.
The Freewallet showed me "memo is required" message for EOS and XLM coins and "destination tag is required" message for XRP coin and I can't send my coins.
Any idea?

As stated by Charles-Tim, there is no need to enter memo when you send the fund to a non-custodial wallet like trustwallet.
The reason you need memo when you deposit into an exchange is that the exchange give a same deposit address to all users and use the memo to know which user has deposited the fund.
In a non-custodial wallet like trustwallet, you are the only owner of the address and have full control over that. Any fund sent to that in yours.

Try to send it without memo, it should be successful, I mean the transaction. I will also advice you not to use Freewallet, it is a custodial wallet, you do not have full control over your coins as you do not have the keys to the Freewallet addresses given you, Freewallet have it (the private keys) and have the full control that can overide yours.

When I was still using custodial wallet, I have used like two or three before, I was able to send ripple and such other coins at the time without the memo or the destination tag and such transactions were successful.

The Destination and Memo tags are mandatory.
I have just downloaded the Freewallet app, it requires Facebook, Google or phone number sign up which I can never do. I hope someone using Freewallet will help you out but I can not further to help because I can not give out my information to such custododial wallet while noncustododial options are available.

Also know that there is ripple reserve on noncustododial wallet that support ripple, and the ripple reserve is 20 XRP, the reason ripple and such other coins should not be used in my opinion. You can not make use of ripple reserve (you will not be able to send it but remain on your ripple wallet), the reason most exchanges are not using more than one address and using tags, memo to different receivers.

The Destination and Memo tags are mandatory.
Any fund with any memo that is sent to your trustwallet address is yours. So, I think you can enter a random number as memo and the transaction should be successful.
I'm 99.99% sure that there shouldn't be any problem if you enter a random memo. But wait until other users confirm this.

Edit:
I just checked trustwallet and as I see, EOS is not supported.
In trustwallet, there are some tokens pegged to EOS. Note that they are not real EOS. EOS has its own blockchain.

I never knew that there's something else other than address for sending & receiving cryptocurrency but I just have checked out the binance deposit for EOS and it gives an address like binance***** & a memo code. I guess OP is right.
The way my EOS address is written seems more like same for everyone while the memo code is different for each user.
OP, you can use binance or any other exchange to receive the crypto if this is urgent for you to get rid of freewallet.

I have done it before and it worked. It has been long that I used this these type of coins, your post made me remembered I just added tag of my own to ripple transaction, that was late 2019 when I started knowing about cryptocurrencies.

I can also confirm that, specifically about XLM. A few days ago I moved my XLM from exchange to my non-custodial wallet, I assumed even if I use a random memo and it does not go well, I'm pretty sure there will be some ways to work around it. Turns out it all works just fine, and the XLM straightly show up on the wallet.

Hello,
I have XRP, EOS and XLM coins in the Freewallet and I want to move them to the Trust Wallet, but it needs Destination and Memo tags. How can I move my coins?

Thank you.
I think you can use trust wallet to move the coins to any address you want, trust wallet provides a delivery service to allow you to make deliveries, based on the address you need, memos are used only on custodial exchange wallets, while trust wallets don 't need that, if there is something easier to do, then why look for the hard way.

You don't need those, tags are necessary only on centralised exchanges or platforms for certain coins and tokens but not from a open source wallet to another wallet like coinomi to trust wallet or metamask for example
