Reality is that there are "many" online jobs out there, but there also a lot more people applying as well. I am a freelancer, I do not work for many places I only have one place that I work for and that is a very good thing for me, because I rather not have the fear of constantly trying to find a job. However, few friends who know what I do sometimes do ask me to either write for them a few small stuffs, like maybe 5-10 blog posts over a month, or there are times when I needed extra money so I looked for extra jobs, or even had my own project as well and all of that took time.

While I was looking for work, I saw 5000+ people applying for the same job that I applied to. Local jobs are limited but at least you apply to it with 50 other people, when it is online that number could go to as high as 50k+ people who apply at the same thing and that is why it is harder to find a job.

If you are not willing to make an effort, you will still find working online to be difficult, the pandemic has forced people from different countries with different set of skills to look into the Internet for an alternative means of earning, as a result the competition to getting a reasonable job online is very high,

Whatever skills you think you might possess there are many applications out there who have similar skills and perhaps way ahead of you, so getting an online job is not as easy as it sound, personal development is required to survive the vast knowledge out there.

Just make an effort to find platforms that provide online jobs, to learn new things, and to expand your network in the field or business you want to pursue (eg. crypto world). Let's assume here in bitcointalk, you can find a lot of extra grinds, campaigns, and you can also give your services if you're great at designs, and you can create some logos for crypto projects. Make use of your skills and be equipped every day because we never know when we will need money. We're fortunate to have these opportunities since we know where to go for online jobs.

It is not good to rely only on one source of income,. I believe that this pandemic must have taught us a lesson on this; a lot of people who relied only on one job and ended up losing it because of the corona virus pandemic,found it really hard to pass through such a time.

But, those who never relied just on one source of income and had other things that they were doing online, or maybe had their own businesses that they owned, and operated aside from their office jobs, they never had any problem with the lockdowns and the rest of challenges that came with the pandemic. So, it’s always good to have other jobs to do, and online jobs are really important because even when jobs that are being done offline are stopped, you can't stop the ones that are being done online.

Specially now that we are on a pandemic situation which most people do really need to find jobs online because we do spent more time online which means

it is having more competition and jobs offered isnt really that in big in numbers to compensate those who do seek out job online.There would really be only limited slots plus having those companies do really have high standards too which means the more harder to acquire some job.

Doesnt matter on where we do get our side  job because at least we are able to make some side income which is always  be a good one.

@finaleshot, you're true that we must be very much thankful to this forum for giving us all types of opportunities like campaign participation as well as management jobs, moderation jobs for various projects available, art related jobs, writing jobs, contests as well as other different sort of jobs that don't even relate to crypto. I believe that if we keep our eyes open, we don't need to go anywhere out of this forum to find anything as this has now become a home to many.

Also to think of that not all vacant jobs are totally that easy.It does  need a specific candidate for  it to be filled which simply means that competition is really high.

Good for those who do have some skills and unlucky for those who do have only basic skills which  are not appropriate for said job.
Now that we are  on digital age then there are lots of  opportunities  but it does require specific skills.

It'll give you the advantage if you have skill and knowledge of the computer as the basic requirement and much have an internet. While those who have limited resources and those in the provinces, that seems hopeless for them to find a job online. That is why I could say that it matter also on the place we belong and with the number of job opportunities online (like in crypto) sad to say that not all of us have been given the chance. And in fact, even in crypto, only a few had made this so well while the otrhers are quitting for they don't understand and also with their bad experience.

Do not encourage new people to join MMO because every field has its opportunities, instead of trying to find things to make money, do well at your current job and only consider MMO as a small profession if like you can't really concentrate on it. In some point, you are right. Most of these online jobs we have are only good for temporary, but considering bitcointalk this has been here for such a long time and until now, its still a good source of decent income. However, if you explore more online, there are still other opportunities to earn depending on the skills you are much equipped, like teaching, virtual assistance, or even in those networking businesses that are very in demand right now. But for me, i wouldn't trade bitcointalk into some other online opportunities, but rather add more other online jobs as long as i'm capable for it.

It all started with payment in electronic money, and when bitcoin appeared, my boss offered to pay in it. But then I was not sure if this payment method could provide me with a reliable pillow. Now I regret it.
However, there are many sites where freelancers can get jobs paid in cryptocurrency. Administration of some forums, social media channels, I'm not talking about the professional skills of programmers, this is a gold mine for people who are looking for a job.
Advice for young people will be appropriate, the acquisition of a new profession related to cryptocurrencies, this is certainly a reliable future for you and your children.

If that is about crypto, many things you can do such as join as a freelance on here or other website or trading, investment or other things related to crypto. The matter is how we can enjoy the process and not feel it is too long to make much money from crypto opportunities or online jobs because everything will start from one step. If you can do the right thing in the first step, then you will make money in the short term.

With all the crypto opportunities we have online, i think its best to grab them while we are still capable of it and while crypto is still giving us a high conversion of income. I believe our main goal for looking an online job is to earn and sustain our daily necessities and with the help of crypto, it can be fully achieved provided that you are also an asset to them and can be more productive on their part. And the fact that there's more money in online, thing that pushed me through to resign from my day job, then it can be a good retirement too in the future when we can't do things anymore of what we are capable of doing right now.

The whole point is you don't need to search for a crypto job because you don't need to, if you are a real professional in the field you are working you can demand the company to pay you in any cryptocurrency and they will be kinda forced to that because of your professional level, however, many online jobs prefer to do bank transfer because there will be many tax issue and the governments will ask the company for some tax documents in this case, however, if you still prefer a job that pays you in cryptocurrencies you can search for places such as services section in this forum for a paid task.

To be honest, opportunities are everywhere but not everyone could grab them because it still requires knowledge and skills. When we say online job, it's a broad thing and skills should be our capital that's why those who acquire knowledge have an advantage. I also surprised with opportunities in the cryptocurrency industry. So many job offers for me even though I'm not making myself available. But it probably also because my account is in good standing and have fairly good reputation. I think it's only the start since Satoshi envisioned Bitcoin as a solution to internet commerce. Imagine if cryptocurrency reaching mainstream adoption so people can freely trade skills borderless so people in the 1st world countries can employ people from 2nd or 3rd world countries. There have always been 'online jobs', and individuals with skills have been harnessing such opportunities, the thing is, if you want such jobs, it goes way more than just 'surfing' the internet, the first step is working on yourself, acquire necessary and sought after skills, when you have these skills you can now look for something online to do, it makes it a whole lot easier then, there will always be opportunities, but it's for those willing to take extra steps.

Agree, and there will always be 'online jobs' out there, as the internet has created huge opportunities to address niche markets with extremely little effort to a worldwide customer base. And in many cases without having any specific knowledge. You only have to look at how many people already make their main income or at least have a good side income from streaming or making videos with more or less intelligent content (Twitch, Youtube, etc).

I am sure it is already happening and I am into such a practice since 2013 when bitcoin hit $1000 for the first time. Getting paid in bitcoins or paying employees in bitcoins are not a problem any more as people are easily able to encash or most freelancers do prefer to save for long term. I agree that after I started accepting crypto payments I am able to get many paid tasks through various freelancing portals.

It's better if you'll have multiple skills so you don't have to seek for opportunities but it would be the one who will seek you.

Along with skills, some employers are short-listing based on payment options like they prefer crypto accepting freelancers compared to paypal or bank transfer preferring candidates. In my opinion, accepting crypto payments many times worked for me like another skill set.
