I think you need to Hold Shiba until the pump is back up if your goal is not long term.  Shiba can short-term pumps, many cinemas accept Shiba with open mind.  That's also why it's easier for more communities to come to Shiba.  Of course, I think you understand the meaning of Shiba's value within limits.  So I think you will need to keep holding the reins.

There are some things that you must consider before try to judge your coin that already decreased a lot whether it's worth to hodl it or not.

1. Development progress, if it's still in the development and it's still good to hodl it as this will become a long term investment.
2. it was not getting any pump yet
3. It has a fully working product

I see that you were buying shiba inu at peak price but it's possible for shiba to go down even deeper as robinhood will not listed shiba along with kraken exchange site. The chance for the price of shiba to go up again to make a retrace will always there but i should remind you that if you're buying this thing at wrong time. So many awareness already warned you to never buy FOMO or you will be lost. If you're long term believers of shiba and just hodl it but if you think this coin doesn't have more room to growth and then sell it but you must also think about your lose.

long term is a good idea for shib in my personal opinion, but of course keep monitoring the growth rate so that you don't miss the opportunity to dump your profits from it before it goes back to the dip again. Remember its a meme coin so don't rely on it and always think for your safety.. Actually it's not great at all. There's no assurance that meme coin will still hot next year since there's already bunch of it in the market. Most of the meme coin pump this year and its only because Elon Musk promote Dogecoin which is the father of them all, They already get too much exposure and buy pressure so the next price movement will be a strong correction and a bear market might occur for more than a year just like what happened on Bitcoin before.

Buying at peak is very painful especially if it's just a hype coin without any fundamental. Holding it for a year without any expectation for a brea through update is a very naive move. Don't put faith on this kind of meme coin except Dogecoin, Unless another billionaire show interest on it then Shiba might pump to the new heights.

You are investing in this project at the wrong time, probably it was during the line is going up and to tell you that you are buying at FOMO and have yourself fall into the trap. Your option is to wait until the rally is coming back but never expect that much as certainly we are not sure or/it never come back again. I hope you don't get mad but something you need to think what gonna be your exit plan when we can never see its sunrise again. I guess you have to decide to sell it. I'd prefer to be investing in coins that are down 50-70% against Bitcoin, even if they can drop 80-90% in total, as have a lot more potential than coins that are still up 10-100x against Bitcoin already. Recently while taking a lot of profits there were also some investments I was keen to keep, as hadn't performed so well in Q1/Q2 rally, so have a better chance in doing so in the future imo.

That said, some coins are just looking aweful and like they'll never outpace Bitcoin, some older coins as well as new. Those that are barely maintaining their fiat value are worth getting rid of!

Buying Shiba $1,200 is a big risk but if you can buy at the lowest price, you are making a profit a few days ago. I do not know if Shiba is a good investment as Shiba is one of the meme coins which we do not know when it will increase. But I guess you can stake Shiba in Binance to increase the amount while you are waiting for the time for Shiba to increase again. Still, there is no guarantee for Shiba to increase higher again in the future as that will still be a mystery.

We cant say if the price of Shiba will going to pump drastically again if you hold for long period. But its a meme coin who dont have utility, the price can drop and possibly never recover back, thats the risk of holding a meme coin which relying in pure hype.

If its me I think I will wait for a bounce back to minimize the losses and switch to coins that has use case and can survive even the market is in bearish trend.

For me I don't trust meme coins much, they are very volatile as they rose to big levels it can go down to big levels too, look at the chart you will see that Shiba is down 26% in a week, personally I don't trust meme coins for long investment they are only valid for quick profits, In my opinion, if the price rises and you get a good profit, you should not miss the opportunity, especially since I read on Twitter a news about the owner of Shiba that he is transferring his money from the wallet, and this news, if true, is a negative indicator that can lead to a significant deterioration of the Shiba.

There will always a chance for the price to bump again after the dump. shiba inu has been getting more than 300% which was make sense to see consolidation before it will be going even higher than its current ATH. The pump will never last forever. The correction was a must because there will be lots of profit takers go out from the market and if you have not yet sold your tokens and you lose nothing although the price was going down so hard but it can also back anytime but if you're thinking you can't handle your emotion to see the price of shiba inu was going even deeper and then that's your own choice to cutloss your investment but you will never able to recover it once the price of shiba inu will be pumped again.

I think that the price will be good again as this is just a reaction from the market about the latest news from robinhood and kraken. once those platforms will change their mind to accept shiba inu and we will see that another FOMO will come again soon. What if you hold on to a price slightly higher than the current SHIB price because the potential for the Shiba Inu to increase again is still there and the hype isn't over yet. So if you sell at a price slightly higher than the current price, then I'm sure it won't take years.
