Hello, Bitcoin talk!

I always knew about this forum but never found the time to finally participate. I am mainly interested in learning more technical aspects of Bitcoin like wallets, nodes etc. And also want to learn more about trading BTC and if there are any best practices, tips I need to know.

Just initially browsing the big sections, there is ALOT of stuff going on here haha. Any recommendations on must-read threads or how do you guys navigate this forum?

Thanks in advance!
In order to achieve higher forum ranks, you need both activity points and merit points.

Yeah normally you can just check the pinned topics, some places like the bitcoin wiki (mainly to search for things - https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Main_Page) are helpful too and threads you find interesting and want the answer to you can leave open and wait a while to see how a few users have answered them.

You can also check youtube and a few other places for information if you don't want to have to read everything.

Quite strange behavior. The first question you ask is how to navigate the forum, although it seems quite simple. You are expressing an interest in technical knowledge about bitcoin, but in the second post, you are applying for merit.
Do you urgently need merits to gain knowledge? Huh Huh Huh

I would recommend these resources (both are free and structured),
1. https://learnmeabitcoin.com/
2. https://github.com/bitcoinbook/bitcoinbook. If you wish to support the author, you could buy the physical book.

Well, without falling into suspicion, welcome to the forum ALTcoinSeason. I guess that many people read these pages, but just a little percentage make the decision to participate actively.

You may not like my opinion on your question, but I don't really believe too much in TA. In many cases, it leads to making trading decisions that a newbie wouldn't make just as a precaution, and let's not forget that there is no crystal ball and no analysis can tell us how the price in the market will unfold.

It's easy to guess what the motive of this thread is. Just an assumption, the OP has an interest in learning bitcoin and wallet technically which often get the attention of old members to give it a merit as a form of support. I don't think it would be a problem if the OP really wanted to learn the technical stuff about bitcoin, but when he starts hoping his rank can rise quickly just because of his interest then that's where people will ignore him.

If the OP really has a desire to learn bitcoin technically then I would recommend him to start finding something in this ratimov thread: Beginners & Help Encyclopedia

Read master bitcoin and then use Youtube you will find too many good channels that teach you every thing in bitcoin and trading.
After that use google and ask there to learn more then start coding using any language you learn.
in the end education is a continuous process and you need to develop yourself continuously

It's been month since I joined this forum but the more I look the less I see and understand how things work here. I must say, it really feels discouraging to me being static all these while.

Tell me what is your purpose for joining this forum, and what are your real interests?

I can suggest you a few thing if you show your interest in this forum, but assure yourself that all this will still take some time and process. You can absorb knowledge quickly if you have the consistency of studying, reading and also discussing it with other users. But if you just stand still then I can assure you that you will not be able to move towards achieving your desired target.

Sorry if it came across as some sort of plan for merit. I posted this and basically start browsing the forum. After seeing the other thread re: merit, I thought hey why not maybe I can do more things.

Thanks for all the responses everyone! Looking forward to spending more time here.
