hi all i want to ask if ethereum network is still worth using. currently the fee on the ethereum network is one of the most expensive. and this doesn't seem to be good for use by platforms that have high tps like defi platforms. so I'm wondering is it still possible to build Dapps platforms like NFT games, or Defi on ethereum network. forget about the speculations on ethereum 2.0, we focus on what's out there at the moment. which etherum fees are very high and this is very influential on the project ecosystem that is just developing.
what do you think is the ethereum network still friendly or has it gotten really bad for new projects?

No, I would not build on Ethereum, I would build on NEAR protocol or Aurora. Aurora is an EVM compatible sidechain on Ethereum that accepts Ethereum for gas fees. There are a variety of AMMs on each, REF Finance on NEAR and Trisolaris on Aurora but there is room for more development. There is even a grant program for NEAR for builders. NFT game and defi will have needed regular transactions and this needs to be done with small transactions fees. That will not be worth building dapps in ethereum. Someone is not willing to pay lots of money just to do a single transaction in ethereum network. You should move to the polygon or BSC. Ethereum was not for small-scale of project. what do you think is the ethereum network still friendly or has it gotten really bad for new projects?
This chain is shit and look at the current transaction fees on ethereum network https://etherscan.io/gastrackerethereum will be only suitable to be used for the big platform only as there are lots of whales actively trading the token in ethereum network. The fees were totally non sense for a new token. It's really bad for the new project. This is my honest opinion. Small project didn't need to use ethereum blockchain anymore. BSC was better than it. |

The tittle and the reason on the thread is not suitable.
Of course is can, the fee is a bit different scenario. If you want to be a friendly dapps without any paying a high fee then you should use "BSC/Polygon" don't get wrong this chain is also good for speed transaction. Or you can use multi-chain token support, ETH for High Liquidity and other chain like (BSC/Polygon) is for dapp use-case. Everyone can bridge their token.

Mostly all new projects choose Polygon, Binance smart chain, tron, avalanche now because of huge fees on Ethereum. Nevertheless, people who have big capitals still work on this chain as they don't run small transaction there, so fees are not so big for them. Many projects that were initially launched on ethereum, are becoming multi-chain now as small investors switch to cheaper alternatives. |

In terms of using the dapp or anything build on ethereum is always friendly user but the only concern here is the fee. Yes it could be a big burden to such projects but there are ways to utilise that or yet used another blockchain that is more of lower in fees when it comes to payment or spending on such services. Anyway it still depend on such project some still fine with it since they believe in the performance still of eth. |

Yes you're right. the ethereum network is pretty bad at the moment. the only good thing about ethereum is that the price is going up. the rest is just shit, very expensive GAS fees make it a bad network. new projects will not be able to develop if using the ethereum network. better use a more friendly network, one of which you mentioned is BSC. it's ironic when everyone thinks ethereum is the number one Dapps network, but in reality their platform is very unfriendly. |

Once deployed to Ethereum, dapp code can't be taken down. And anyone can use the dapp's features. Even if the team behind the dapp disbanded you could still use it.

You have been answering your own question. It's always possible to build dapps in ethereum ecosystem but the question is did all of people could afford ethereum fees? I do believe you will get only a few players or users. people are massively migrating to the DAPPS that built in another ecosystem like BSC and Solana. The question is have you been thinking about how much small traders can use your platforms? I'm sure that none of small traders will be using it. Does they need to pay more than 100 USD anytime just to did a transaction in your dapps? that's totally a non sense thing right now. what do you think is the ethereum network still friendly or has it gotten really bad for new projects?
bad and really bad. If you have small traders as target user for your platform and move on to the another platform that offers sense fees rather than this slow blockchain called ethereum. |

Hasn't the fee problem been solved already? Well, if the issue had been anticipated, they probably would have been careful growing the users to the level the network can't handle.
It should be able to Scale first before it fully opens for serious business. I think this is part of the reasons Bitcoin doesn't encourage things like defi yet.

for new or old projects, both are very bad. Gas fees are not normal at this time and this greatly affects all projects on the ethereum network. platform builder on ethereum network is not a good choice nowadays, so better to choose other alternative like BSC or others. there are already many more friendly platforms. low fees, and quickly become the main attraction of the new network. ethereum will only be history in the future, so don't think creating Dapps on the ethereum network is the right choice. |

Dapp is a feature that has been permanently embedded into the network system of certain wallet applications so that it can always be used for a long time and whenever we want, so this was clear when Dapp was first built because it was to make it easier for its users. |
