It is even doubtful we are going to see a bear market during the next year, however I agree with you in the sense that if it were to come it is not going to be as bad as what we saw during 2018 and the years that followed, institutional investors are now part of the market and they are not going to allow a bear market to continue for long as that could put at risk their investment, so at worst I could expect a bear market that last 6 to 9 months and with a decrease in the price that is not as big as as what we saw back then.

but i have other sentiments on what the OP is saying, because most of these alts will still lose 90% of their value because most of them have no reasons to exist. they are crap and no use case at all and were created to enrich devs' pockets.
only few of these projects will emerge successful in the market and will continue to survive.
we have seen that from thousands of alts, only small percentage has real usage in the market. so yes, there will still be bear market on most of these alts, esp those crappy ones.

Well, I don't think we can be complacent. Yes, the markets are more mature now than back in 2017/18 but let's not forget that we still have a long journey ahead of us. It is possible we'll not see the same level of 'blood in the streets' but I don't think it can be avoided.

It is better to take a defensive and preparatory approach than be passive.

We'll see how it plays out, but I do expect to see drops across the boarders whenever the bears are around, though the drop might not be as hard as expected!

Dont be confident even though we are seeing some greens for a long time but doesnt mean that long bearish market couldnt really happen anymore.Come to think that nothing do last forever thats why we shouldnt be that confident and still do things and secure out profits as much as we can because we cant be sure on what would happen
next in the market neither there would be sudden bearish run which might result into losing money or profits thats why you should be wise on taking

Yes, you are absolutely right now there will be no big dump like past, we may see a little correction in the market maximum of 10-15%, no more than it. We may see 10-15% this week because there is a bearish divergence in the BTC 1D chart. So trade carefuly.

That's right since there's totally no guarantee at all that we will not experience the same scenario before since crypto market still volatile, although we are not experiencing this heavy bear market season these year but the fact here is that situation might threatened us again maybe next year or in next following years so we shouldn't get our sight on the market and we should always have updates regarding on current situation so that we can ride the flow.

+1. I believe in the cycle too, as it has already proven for the past years. But as time goes by, it will be different because as we go along, a lot of people starting to get in, the volume is already different from the past, it could be higher or lesser.
Another thing is the fractal, it could be not the expected day/month/year but the cycle could happen on a different date.

We really can't say if there will be no long bear market. Still depends on the situation, the last bear market was due to the fact that it had to happen as the market works in cycle. So regardless of there will still be the effects of covid-19 or not is out of the question.

Maybe if you say that because crypto's narrative has change specially the prime mover bitcoin has been used now as hedge by big companies in their balance sheet. Or many institutions are pouring their money on the crypto market right now.

actually if the pandemic did not happen we will never see another Huge bear market from 2019 , so this must be a sign that the market is strong and worth  trusting long term.

and also we have proofs of how the market is showing strength now against FUD and manipulation as  legit investors are in our side now .

i think the covid pandemic has positive impact for cryptocurrency because everything is became digitalize and people have less interaction between each other that resulted a digital currency gaining it's popularity.
But i'm agree if crypto condition right now is stronger than before, it won't crash more than 50% anymore i'm sure because many big companies in this world start developing blockchain projects and crypto projects, this is very good for crypto's future.

The covid just made the current economic system very vulnerable that the transition to digital currency is happening because of these. Investors are now more aware of what money is and how gold and silver are suppressed that long-term investors of it lose the opportunity to gain money in Bitcoin.

The 2018-2020 bear market is probably the last in crypto until something will happen that the weekly chart will break out to its bottom. So far it has not happened since 2020.

To a certain extend I would say yes, it has a big impact on crypto and other digital form.

Here in our country we have what we call e-wallets wherein you can transact everything online. Prior to that only few are using that e-wallet but now majority are.

Regarding the bear market, it will come, it's inevitable to a market like this one. So much volatile and then pure manipulation, no one can slow it down, whether it will be long term or just like the last one.

This market lives cycle by cycle. After bull run there is must be a bear market. Taking into consideration an upcoming crises in the world and default  of Evergrande, I think that there will be also big drawdowns on the crypto market. What is more, there is the term "crypto winter" when everything calm down and volumes are very low so the whole crypto market is in hibernation.

We dont know what lies ahead so this idea is still uncertain. Bearish market will surely come but yes it might be not as bloody as before. When this pandemic happened many people engage themselves in crypto as an opportunity to make money while at home. The reason why crypto gain investors and become known to many, on the other side meme coins also got the attention of newbies due to hype despite of being risky.

I think we cant see our coins especially BTC and ETH to lose their value about 90% again unless there's a bad news that has an impact to crypto as a whole (banning or set as illegal). As we can see the price is moving upward slowly and though there's a minor correction the price is still recovering, probably because of those who take advantage the minor dip.

No one can guess or control the market movement. If a dip occur in 2022 it would be another opportunity to  buy irrespective of how long or short the dip occur. Most times adoption isn't a prerequisite for how market direction move although it works sometimes but not a guarantee. Investors are always waiting handy to take advantage of any available opportunity to make good profit

I believe there wouldn't be any other thing right now that could affect the current market again. Imagine experiencing the pandemic for years, and then another thing comes, and it's almost the same; I don't think people would follow their instincts right away and sell off fast. Indeed. The bear market will always come but the situation will be different than the previous year.
With the increase of the adoption this year, maybe the bear market will come more often than before so we need to be careful to decide.
If we are in the trading, we need to know when to take profit and leave the market before the bear market really comes so we can have time to buy more amount of every potential coin.

We will break $100,000 per bitcoin this year, in the final few months. There will be another bear market though, it won’t be pretty but we’ll recover & enter another bull market after the next halving. I don’t think the 4 year cycles will end if I am honest.

We could easily see it but the problem is with the panic sellers who just start dumping the coins whenever there are little dips in market and that cause price to go down.But that's not new and more people will invest in bitcoin and prices have already touch ATH of this year and one month is left to the year end but still there are probabilities of it reaching the milestone of $100k if the same pace continues and if we have some major positive news around the corner but this time China FUD will also not have affect on prices as we have seen less impact over it.So definitely it will grow but just hodl.
