Still this must be exasperating for someone like GGG that does not have time as his ally due to his age while at the same time all of this works on Murata’s favor.

Nah, I can't underestimate GGG even at his age now, he is still powerful and a strong fighter and I have a feeling that Murato would not last against GGG and still GGG will beat his opponent, probably by KO. I know that our opinion maybe different because we are bias, but for me, I will stick with my belief that GGG will dominate here and age is not his disadvantage.

GGG is like not hitting the age disadvantages. He still has that punch to give problems to anyone he faced.

Not saying Murata is nothing but if GGG will face the same boxer that close to his strength, maybe we can say that age is a factor.

If Murata can give a problem to GGG. I really doubt it.

I don't know if it's something related but Japan's Naoya Inoue will come back in June in anticipation that Japan will now finally lift up its current sports restriction. If that's the case, this GGG vs Murata event might also return on that month since the event of this fight will happen in Japan.

Just speculation, not an official one. Maybe the restriction will lift up early.

Then I hope that this speculations might come true because Japan's fighters Naoya Inoue and Murata are one of the most awaited fighters inside the ring and probably their scheduled fights are one of the anticipated fights of every boxing fans. But I can't deny that between GGG vs. Murata, GGG is still powerful and steong fighter though our speculations may only be corrected once we see them inside the ring, but as of now I am in pro of GGG.

Inoue might be the best in his division but I don't think Murata could dominate the fighters in his division, with GGG, that would be a big hindrance for his success and I'm sure you know that the fans believe GGG would easily beat Murata. I can't wait to see this fight because I'm expecting a KO from GGG to prove to those who doubts about his capacity despite his age now.

I think most of the speculators only think of GGG defeating Murata easily or they might gonna cheer up for their countrymen thinking that there will be a miracle happening and he will gonna defeat GGG instead? Nevertheless, GGG's skills and experience are vast compared to Murata and there is no way he will be defeated unless he changed in these past years. Murata on the other hand is a confident fighter and will not go down easily because he is fighting in his homeland which will boost his courage and performance for his people.

That's the good thing if you trust Murata to win because you will get better odds as people are betting on GGG. Upset always happened in boxing, so we cannot guarantee that GGG will win although he is the heavy favorite, of course, as a bettor, you choose the winner based on your prediction.

As mentioned from the article, Japan will ease restrictions and re-open its borders starting March 1, 2022 but it is just a limited to foreign students or other short business transactions as they are still exploring ways to keep their country safe from the Covid-19. They also made it clear that travel for leisure is strictly prohibited in the meantime, so sports activities won't be available. But hopefully in April these restrictions will be lifted so that we can already watch the GGG vs Murata match.

That kind of pride is nature inside Japanese people. They are willing to do everything to honor their names. It's exciting because both

fighters are known to be aggressive. I don't personally know Murata, but by watching some highlight videos, it seems that he's also

tough and capable of handling GGG's solid punches, though we can't say that accurately and it will only be proven once they are inside

the ring and start throwing solid attacks.

That's good progress indeed.

If everything will be alright from now, expect that slowly but surely, Japan will now be open to all activities without any further restrictions. Since the event of GGG vs Murata will be in Japan, organizers think that there's no need for a rush to make this fight happen. If they want to continue the fight right away, they can just shift location but they didn't do it.

As of now, there's still no official update about the fight. Maybe we can expect more of it once Japan now change their restriction policy.

Just maybe in the early rounds, Murata can stay with GGG, but as the round goes, GGG might take over with his power and experience and ring IQ.

Murata will give his loyal fans a good fight, but we always knows that the better fighter always win. And that for me is GGG. He might be an aging fighter, but I think he can still compete at high level and beat everyone at this weight class.

I agree that Murata might keep up with the phase at the early rounds. But as the fight is getting longer, he will soon deplete his stamina and GGG will now take over until the final bell rang. Murata on the other hand has all the fans backing him at the venue since it's in his home country. Japan's crowd is one of the best inspirational and motivation for their athletes as their cheering will give goosebumps on their representative.

Even Murata loses here, facing GGG is already an achievement. It's a great opportunity for him.

There is an interview that GGG gave and he says that the 3rd fight with Canelo is possible:

Quote
“[Someone] shared an opinion that I was probably the one that chased Canelo away from the middleweights of the division,” Golovkin said through a translator on the podcast Walking the Floor with Chris Shiflett. “I’m not sure whether that is true.

“But I know Canelo as a fighter, and I have the keys to how to open him up, how to fight against [him].

Recent reports suggest that the long-awaited match-up could be in the offing. Mike Coppinger of ESPN reported that Alvarez (57-1-2, 39 KOs) is mulling a two-fight deal from Eddie Hearn of Matchroom to fight on DAZN. The first fight would be against light heavyweight titleholder Dmitry Bivol in the spring. The second fight would be against Golovkin (41-1-1, 36 KOs), although Golovkin would have to come out victorious against his postponed middleweight bout against Ryota Murata, which could take place in the spring in Tokyo.

https://www.boxingscene.com/golovkin-on-canelo-trilogy-i-keys-open-him-up--164264

I don't think that a trilogy is not hard to make, I mean GGG is willing, and it's up to Canelo to sign. And if Canelo doesn't have any options maybe we will see this fight happening. The question is if GGG can still compete at a high level maybe in the next year or so?

For sure even if he wins against Murata, he might take a damage. And we all know that he is not getting any younger.

These two famous boxers need to answer the questions regarding this fight if it could really happen as the fans is really rooting about this fight since last year. And yes maybe this time around, the fight will likely to happen as the two camps are talking continuously this year. It could probably happen this year if GGG is done with Murata before June. GGG can still keep up and dance with Canelo but I won't deny that Canelo has the upper hand compared to GGG, and maybe after that fight GGG can already hang up his gloves.

Quote
The holdup for perhaps the biggest boxing match of 2022 is reportedly coming from one camp. Canelo Alvarez has verbally committed to a trilogy fight with Gennady Golovkin on Sept. 17, but Golovkin has yet to agree to the terms, according to ESPN’s Mike Coppinger.

Golovkin and DAZN are working “to resolve issues” after last week it was reported that the fight was on “the verge” of happening.

The restrictions imposed at Japan are no joke, however now that we are leaving the pandemic behind and instead the disease has become endemic in the population most countries have no option but to relax the measures taken against this virus.

Yes, the restrictions is getting better now, in many countries they've got lighter restrictions and the chance of removing any is nearly to come. We will see this event to happen if both camps are still aiming for it.

Quote
However it would be interesting how GGG deals with this, believe it or not training too much can be counterproductive and athletes that have trained themselves to reach their peak at a certain period of time may find difficult to adjust their training regime if the competition in which they were going to participate were to be delayed for that long, so GGG may not be at his best shape when facing Murata if he is not careful.

That's possible but with his experienced, and with his training camp still the chance that he will be fit and condition when
this fight take place, GGG  understand the risk and his camp will adjust with that.

Well, we must take into account that every virus has at least 25 possible new mutations available to make and there are possibilities that there are many more, but for now the restrictions have been lowered because many have already understood that they want to have herd immunity, and this can only be achieved by betting on overcoming the pandemic with people's antibodies in a natural way, vaccines are simple reinforcements that are experimental, however for this meeting, which hopefully will be soon, all these premises will be taken into account, because GGG I think it has been waiting for this new meeting, on the other hand, the training for both boxers must be quite radical and strong, because both GGG and Murata are excellent.

Hopefully that there would be no other mutations and if there's other then it would might turn out to be that mild just like on omicron but lets hope that this would be over.
Now the alert level here on my country had gone down which is a good indication that it might happening on entire globe.Sooner or later we would really be seeing that
this pandemic situation would be over and fights would really continue without having any problems or issues in regarding with this situation.

I don't think it will happen.

1) GGG is interested but Canelo is not. The latter already closed the book for a trilogy since he claimed he had already won twice. What's the purpose for the 3rd?

2) Canelo has lots of options to fight. Remember that he's now moved up on the Cruiserweight to beat champions there. He has a long lineup of future fights that can be arranged instead of fighting GGG.

If there will be other mutations or not, the world has to move on. We are sick of these mutations that are just creating fears in people. Look at that Omicron virus that seems to be dangerous as the report says but turned out it can be handled by our body.

Even there will be new mutations, just continue to move forward.

GGG vs Murata will happen soon. It won't be canceled and I'm sure of that.

There is an interview that GGG gave and he says that the 3rd fight with Canelo is possible:

Quote

It's not hard to make only if both parties are interested. It's been public that GGG is interested in the third fight with Canelo. On the other party, Canelo seems don't like to have another fight. Canelo is also expected to face other boxers and GGG's name is not part of that list.

We should not expect this to happen. What we are just seeing nowadays are news and articles but all is just speculation.

It could be but if you look at his options right now, yeah, lots of them.

But can those fight give him the money that he can get from fighting and closing the book on GGG?

For sure this is going to be one of the most anticipated fight and it could rival Fury vs Wilder trilogy as far as financial incentives for Canelo.
