I don't think that a trilogy is not hard to make, I mean GGG is willing, and it's up to Canelo to sign. And if Canelo doesn't have any options maybe we will see this fight happening. The question is if GGG can still compete at a high level maybe in the next year or so?

1) GGG is interested but Canelo is not. The latter already closed the book for a trilogy since he claimed he had already won twice. What's the purpose for the 3rd?

2) Canelo has lots of options to fight. Remember that he's now moved up on the Cruiserweight to beat champions there. He has a long lineup of future fights that can be arranged instead of fighting GGG.

Nope, there is some changes regarding about the trilogy. Canelo has indeed said that things before that he ain't anymore interested to fight GGG because his eyes was already fixed and set to fight Makabu this May as he moves to cruiserweight but lately, Eddie Hearn himself said and confirmed the news that Canelo won't be fighting anymore this May against Makabu.

Yeah, looking about the poll, Murata is without a doubt the heavy underdog compared to the Champ, GGG. Murata is strong but we do have some factor to see because GGG is much better especially in ring IQ as he have more experience.

Well, seeing Murata in his past matches and comparing it to GGG, I think that they're not wrong to side with GGG in this match although I have to cut Murata some slack for his formidability so I think that counts in a way. With the way the things are moving, we might see a big odds offered on Murata.

I doubt that is the reason, otherwise, Murata did not agree to fight GGG in the first place. We all know that despite both are champions, GGG is still the heavy favorite to win the fight, and since they go for a unification fight, we consider this fight as the battle of the best.

None so far except that there are news that Japan is easing regarding foreigners visiting their country. So that is a good sign that this fight might happen in the next couple of months.

I disagree, I don't really think that Murata is the one who is controlling it and the reason why the fight was postponed and needs to reschedule. If that's true, then that also means that Murata is the one who pulled the strings so that Japan will close its borders and raise some restrictions. The true main reasons why this fight was rescheduled is because Japan is still strict so that the omnicron won't spread throughout their country and affect their economy and its citizens.

Despite of that, Japan will start to ease their restrictions starting March 1 but such activities like sports are still prohibited.

I guess this fight will still take place in Japan because if they were planning to settle this somewhere else then they should've announced it already. They are still waiting for Japan to lift to open its borders and lift restrictions, I have read that they will slowly allow this March 1 but not for sports activities and other occasions that includes a large number of people. Nevertheless, I know this will fight will happen this year, somewhere in 2nd quarter.

The biggest challenge of Murata in his boxing career, but if he can at least give a good fight, I would vow on him as I understand GGG is a tough opponent to crack having almost an undefeated record. GGG might be a bit old, but you know, he seems to be in his prime still.

The news was that Canelo already agreed about the deal but GGG haven't agreed yet but I'm sure these two fellas could meet somewhere in the middle to make the fight happen this year if possible. I got to admit that I'm a fan of Canelo Alvarez, but in terms of GGG vs Canelo fight, I am yet to choose a side soon. We might already know that Canelo was scheduled and set to fight against Makabu this Cinco de Mayo but suddenly, Eddie Hearn announced that the won't happen as expected. Lately, Canelo signed a deal to face GGG soon after his fight against Murata but GGG didn't signed the contract yet as he is busy now for his upcoming unification fight this April.
