VCs are mainly interested in three things -
1. Money: let them know how your coin will earn revenue from the market and what are the ways. prepare some real world usage of your coin and demonstrate the revenue sources.
2. Marketing: let them know how you are planning to market your coin and how it is different and impactful.
3. Competition: let them know who are your competitions and how are you planning to beat them in their own game.
If these three parameters are demonstrated clearly and effectively, you may get a chance to receive the money from VCs.
and most of the time, they won't contact you if they haven't see any strong features of the project. and others are right, it is the other way around, don't contact them but they will contact you once they see your project interesting, that is, if you present in some forum or conference, and by chance, they see your pitch as promising and worth investing. some of them are like silent observers in meetings, conferences or presentations. and you will be surprised if one day they will contact you because of your presentation.
