Football Fan tokens and gambling

I think these are two different cases between football club fan tokens and gambling. It has absolutely nothing to do with it. Football fan-based tokens only focus on token project development and sale on the market and are not interfered with by any gambling. Unless certain communities hold soccer gambling when the club competes then outsiders make bets.

The only way for those tokens to eventually be used in a casino would be for the club to create their own casino and accept those tokens, however I do not think any club will want to get into that kind of business as many fans will see it as taking advantage of those which are die hard fans.

So with that being said those tokens could have some use as long as the club gives you access to some offers that are exclusive to the token holders, otherwise I do not see the reason to exchange money that you can use anywhere you want for tokens you can only use at a single store.

Recently i have seen many football fan tokens like AC Milan Fan Token (ACM) and Manchester City Fan Token (CITY). Also FC Porto Fan Token (PORTO) will list soon on binance.

Do these tokens have any use cases or they are just made to collect money from their fans ? Would they be used in gambling ?

If a token is listed on an exchange it's a clear indication it has a useage and not just an avenue to collect money from their fans it's serves similar purpose just like every other cryptocurrency that has value

Every good token is been developed for a purpose and it's value starts appreciating once it's listed on a good exchange and this also is the case of this fan tokens generated by football club to support their fans and also get supported too in return.

I think all this fan token has uses which means it's going to be use to pay fans, players at least at some percentage.

Two of the above mentioned tokens are already listed and trading on binance exchange. One token "FC Porto Fan Token (PORTO)" will be launched through binance launch pad. These clubs have big funds and listing on the biggest exchange is not a problem for them.

As much as that would be that, there should be more used cases as per buying of tickets at the stadium not excluding having executive spaces at the stadium at right and to encourage not just more used cases but also, the revolution of cryptocurrencies and how things could be a lot easier should cryptos be encouraged. It's It's a welcomed development for sure. I even got to note the PSG token at some point though, have never acquired any just yet but, most of these coins are already listed and are doing great inbthe market already. I guess I'll be looking into the idea of getting one. Like the PSG token, it experienced a pump during the Linoel Messi transfer, that's a constraint identified on what could playboys I transfer seasons for there form of tokens.

IIRC the Barcelona fan token has gone down a hella lot when the Messi has been transferred to PSG and obviously the PSG fan token or whatever it was called price has jumped upwards. I don't see any reason why these tokens even exist except playing the role of coin used for pump&dump schemes.

Fans maybe happy but i do see sportsbook website will have to adjust their odds on the team PSG after Messi is added and for the team from which Messi was removed.

I don't know why they did that any particular reason behind Messi's transfer?

As long fans could able to experience or get some service which out of those tokens and not just some money grab scheme just because they support them? I dont see for most fans to be that dumb
on having no impressions specially that they are buying something which it should really be having some real use case of benefit aside on getting profits from increasing price
but if they would give out some disclaimer that this is some sort of donation or something like that then i doubt that this one would be successful.

People can use the token to gamble but that depends on the casino because if they want to use that token, they will announce it on their site.
We already see what Freebitco.in did with their token called FUN and that token is listed on many exchanges so maybe that is the way the casino will use the football token for their site.
Suppose people used the token to buy merchandise on the football team's official website and get a special discount to buy stuff.
In that case, that will be good to grow the business as their fan will buy the token or just hold the token because the token will have a chance to increase in the future.
If the football tokens can be used like that, I think it could attract more fans to use the token and boost the popularity of the token itself.

To be honest the football fan tokens doesn't have any use cases, they're created from single project. A share and reward are just marketing strategy, similar as staking on ERC-20 token. But the project has been regulated and partnered with LaLiga, which is make they're legit.

We already see what Freebitco.in did with their token called FUN and that token is listed on many exchanges so maybe that is the way the casino will use the football token for their site.

No FUN isn't Freebitco.in own token, they're only cooperate and Freebitco.in buy out the FUN token. Possibly since this football fan tokens are hyped and have a lot volume.

I highly doubt it would be a mainstream coin to be used in gambling, it would only probably become a local currency for the fanclub of that certain team to be used by their fans. E.g. fans would receive x amount of tokens for whatever stuff they did, it'd probably be an automated system where fans are automatically given tokens based on what they do for the team, and the tokens can then be used to buy stuff such as jerseys, signatures, etc, that were developed with the theme being the team they support.

I agree with you completely, the fan tokens seem to me as just a reward system to most loyal fans as a way of recognising them and granting them access to certain privileges that most persons without a fan token cannot get, that is privileges depending on the amount of fan tokens that they have accumulated. Such tokens will encourage fans to be more engaged with a team they already love. Maybe with time, they may have extensive uses, but for now, i think that's the ideology behind it.

These tokens are like having VIP pass to the club which distinguish you as esteem fan of or loyal member of the club but you have to pay the cost for it and like you said no outside scope is available as there use is club restrained but it's already mentioned so whoever buy these tokens from binance wants to have extra benefits of the club.We will see many more coming up with this tokens.

Nowadays many big football clubs in the world are starting to create Fan tokens to increase revenue for the club, besides that fan tokens are also created to make it easier for fans to access fan-related membership facilities such as voting on club decisions, prizes, merchandise designs and etc. but what we need to know, fan tokens don't have to be backed by the value principle underlying Bitcoin or Ethereum, so fans receive their value from how much fans value to be able to participate in the club and benefit from the club later.

so the value of this token depends on how strong the club is, and how many followers they have. so if you want to get a hold of this type of token, maybe, choose a football club that have strong social media presence as well as large number of supporters. and if you are a solid fan for that particular club, i believe you can optimise the use of this token by participating on their events or acquiring items related to the club.
the token itself is not backed by any known alt, but the value is determined on how strong the demand of the token is in the market.

What I know is that the price of club tokens is not too affected by other cryptos such as btc or ethereum, but what is certain is that the price of a club token is very dependent on every rumor or what happens to the club, and the proof we can see when Lionel Messi was rumored to PSG, at that PSG token price rising slowly and when lionel messi officially became a PSG player, the price of the PSG token broke the record for the most expensive price of all time and even now the PSG token has the first rank as a fan token compared to other club token fans.

I've never seen the fan tokens in use in casinos, but I think they might actually cause more problems than they're worth.The specific goal of gambling is to try and at least break even or come out ahead, so if the value of your club token is equal to $1.00, you would have lost $1.00 at best and broken even worse than that.!!! Honestly, I don't really think the fan tokens will have much of an impact on the gambling market.

Would be great if someone can find any statistics that shows are football fans really familiar with crypto and football fan tokens, or these tokens are just speculative assets. Right now I put equal sign between football fan tokens and meme coins. They both are useless and dont do anything. There is no use having more than 1 token. Same as having just 1, favorite players, t-shirt. Maybe two t-shirt and a scarf would be a full set for supporter. But having 238470239874 tokens (just a random number) is stupid. The idea of "the more tokens you have, the bigger fan you are" does not work here.

Has no use indeed because if we do look on general perspective then it is just simply a token for a fan to buy on without expecting any investment type kind of opportunity if ever they do make some purchases or tending to invest on it and its better to be wise and not to blind yourself on investing big
but if you are really a fan then showing up some support wont really be that bad but when you do comes to a point on where investing that big
because you are expecting something in return then you shouldnt really fool yourself.

I think that it could be possible that these tokens will be used for fantasy leagues etc.

But I still think that overwhelmingly this is just a money grab for the founders. The perks that you get from holding this token definitely does not justify its current valuation.

I'd stay away from these things until they have proven that they are more than just a fad tbh.

I guess it's more on the personal experiences as far as I know (correct me if I'm wrong) like voting on where the team will meet the fans, connect with other fans worldwide, etc. I don't think it's something to be used for gambling but maybe the platform socios.com (most of it are issued by them) that issued it will do in the future. Who knows?

These tokens themselves don't do much as of right now.

But in the future, there is a real chance that with the establishment of the metaverse that these tokens do play a critical role in establishing a gaming market.

I think that DraftKings and other fantasy gaming companies are already looking into this prospect, which is great.

Oh, my mistake, I am sorry for that. I mean, Freebitco.in has a token called FUN that integrates with their site and gives us a chance to stake the FUN token to increase the amount.
Maybe sooner or later, when the big team releases their football fan tokens or the other sports also release their fan tokens, that will be the time for the fans sports tokens to grow.
We can see the football fan tokens are in Binance to trade it for a while but hopefully, the token will be available on the casino for placing the bet.
