It would be possible to be used in gambling since it was only asset that can be used in dapps but the main purpose of fan token to help the club to be even closer with its fan. Any token has different ability. I think that used this to be able to buy merchandise or ticket would be very beneficial from the club instead of bringing it into the gambling platform. Fan token that issued by football club act as a governance token for the club and any hodlers will have ability to participate in the vote for the future plan by the team. Yeah, that's more likely as it is. Selling the accessories coming from the team can be profitable to them and would help the team itself to raise funds that they need for some other things.

There's also LAZIO. Come to think of it, most of these fan tokens are even launched on the Binance launchpad. It surely means they've certain usefulness for Binance to have agreed on a deal to list them, even though I don't seem to understand their usefulness beyond the ordinary. I see them as mere memetokens without any usefulness beyond their communities. I may be wrong on that, though. With the great ROI most of them have recorded, I'm certain more clubs will want to join in the frenzy. I watched that of Lazio closely. It was sold at $1 for one Lazio token at launch only for it to skyrocket to $26 within a few hours after it got listed. That's some crazy ROI.

I think Binance used these tokens to attract football audience to cryptocurrency. These tokens are just another promotional instrument for them. If ice hockey would be as much popular as football, Binance would have listed hockey tokens instead.

You are completely right about saying that "football fan tokens are similar to meme coins". They are also created "juts for fun" and does not have a real use case. Yep, you are right, pre-sale was start usually on 2 EUR on EU team like Inter, Napoli (the new) and 2GBP on UK clubs like Leeds, Arsenal on Socios platform and of course the biggest clubs give you x3 x4 on lisiting, Portugal 1 token I bought for 2 EUR, meanwhile lisiting on exchange was about 2,2 EUR and now is for 0,95 EUR. Argentina for example 2 EUR on pre, but on lisiting was for about 8EUR! Now price is about 1,5 EUR.
