Launched in Nov 2018 apparently... so less than 3 years and they "killed it",
by rebranding to another company and basically releasing the same thing, but incompatible??!?
Dave already linked the topic by the new Keystone CEO; but as a TLDR, Cobo did kill the Vault. However, they didn't afterwards rebrand and re-release it, instead the Vault team (or just Lixin? not sure..) bought all the rights to the Vault and continues the product of course under a new company.
Lixin even wanted to upgrade existing users to the latest firmware, but Cobo declined it:
We have made a migration firmware to upgrade Cobo Vault to Keystone firmware but Cobo refused to sign that firmware.
They are doing this because they want to convert those Cobo Vault users to Cobo Wallet.
Cobo Wallet is now the only Cobo product and a purely software-based wallet.
What a clusterfuck.
I agree
