Guys, just over 3 months ago, I left Cointelegraph to dedicate all my time to invert, a startup founded by one of Rappi's co-founders, a LATAM unicorn with a valuation of more than US$ 5 billion.
During that time, there were more than 17,000 kilometers traveled, a trip to the Amazon, hundreds of conversations with experts in cryptocurrencies and forest conservation.
invert is working on a conservation-to-scale solution through tokenization and play/converse-to-earn models. For us forests are one of the most valuable assets in the world and through blockchain technology I think we have numerous tools to unlock the value of the standing forest.
Basically, our idea is to buy real forests at risk of deforestation, create digital assets and allow for their long-term conservation.
To launch our brand, we invited 20 artists from around the world to create New Eden, an NFT art collection designed to begin the conservation of our first 26,000 hectares of rainforest in the Amazon.
The collection is very beautiful. And all the amount collected will be split 50% for the artists, 50% for invert/conservation/land purchase.
