Hi all, I'm new here, I guess I don't know if I was on the correct forum but I know i have the courage now to reach anyone as I've had 3 months to take in and accept that my grandmom has Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia (ALL).

I have been living with my grandparents since i was born, and never know my parents. I am a single child and only living with my grandmother after my grandfather died. We are both living together.

Understandably it was a big hit to me along with the pandemic but I have been with her every day and she is doing well with the usual side effects and is currently back at the hospital going through intensification chemo.

The specialists want her to have a bone marrow transplant but she is really worried as well as myself, far too many risks considering she is over 60. Including also the financial status of our life.

I'm working in a fast-food chain as a waiter and during the end of my shift, I use to do carwash to support my grandmother daily needs and both our daily needs.

I know she will be very poorly throughout the transplant process considering the high doses of chemo she will also get but it's the thought of her getting grafts versus host disease and losing her, and even if it is successful the chances of leukaemia coming back are still there. I guess, I know we could lose her if she doesn't reach remission or she does and has a relapse but I don't want to put her through something so horrible in which I could lose her and if not then still not much hope if it is successful but with in the continues medication.

Now, we haven't decided on what will be happening as we are only praying and doing everything that I can to help my grandmother.

I was taking chance if there are specialists out here or any kind of help that can extend my life of my grandmother, I will be very much thankful for that.
For the rest of my life.

I'm sorry about your grandmother, the only thing I recommend is that you don't ask for money. For the moment you have done well, you have explained your story and asked in a generic way if someone can help you. But remember there is a rule:

7. No begging.

I felt sad when I read your story about  your grandmother,Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia is not a joke and you need a bigger amount for her transplant.
  It's okay that you shared your story here but you must follow the rules and regulations here in forum like poker player Said we have a rules here which is no begging. Hope that there's a helpful heart here and help you.

Not that we doubt your story but many forum users wanted to make sure they donated their money for that same purpose which is to help that person. There are some forum users who will start a campaign for and it's up to other forum users if they are willing to give donations. So in your situation, it will be most likely asking for donations instead of begging. If you want to received donations, you have to provide a proof like medical certificate something like that so it is much more believable compared to words alone as it could be created to take money only.

I fully understood sir. I'm just telling what i feel because it will feel better. On the other hand sir, if i able to upload documents supporting my story. It is very much possible as long as it will be approve by the admin/moderator.

If you're talking about uploading documents to prove your story is true and asking for money, I wouldn't do it. You risk getting your account banned.

I doubt very much what you say. In general the rule is no begging but in some cases it has been allowed on the forum because the people who had created the thread had a great reputation.

I don't remember a single case of a newbie on the forum who had a begging thread left undeleted.

I think I may have not been clear but it's not begging. It is some sort of a donation and it's up to people if they will donate or not either small or not. What I meant about the documents is about the expenses needed to pay. Not that we have to pay all of but as an act of kindness. I don't know why you make it so complicated. On a personal level, I don't care if the OP deletes the thread or doesn't delete it. Thinking that his story might be true, if he doesn't delete it he has a chance.

Now you get my point. It is not about op begging money but a chance for op to get help from those who are willing to help. You are right that op doesn't have a good reputation yet. If someone want to give donations then it is not a form of begging but a donation which op didn't beg for it and it is all from the sender's decision alone to give funds either small or huge amount of money. Well if you ask me, op should not beg for money instead op should let the people decide to help or not. In short, op wanted a chance to find what he need or looking for through posting here.
