Yes, picking one or two solid startups is great for short to medium-term gains. Actually, I see gaming, metaverse, and Defi projects like Polkadot, Gala, and the new CatenaX as a great investment. But, as many reputable crypto projects are high in price, it is best to wait for a good correction or deep. Always make sure you have a certain USDT amount to use for investment. Don't sell all the pumped ones, instead, take profit and leave the rest for more growth. Stay in the game for a longer period!

To be honest, sometimes going with the flow or joining the latest hype could make you good profits especially in the bull market. I know some of my friends who did it like they already made a lot of money even they just recently entered cryptocurrency compared to other people who already started a long time ago.

Under bull market I suggest you to get under legit ICO's or next level projects bringing something new to cryptocurrencies.

or you can get under bear market as it will become bull when bull gets bear but there is high risk do your own research before investing.

projects related to meta verse are also under focus right now for short term they can perform well.

You can make a lot of profit or loose everything on these new and upcoming projects; I would be very carefull with that. I am sticking to the more well known coins to have less risk.

The common strategy is to wait for the correction or consolidation because usually most of the crypto in the market before continually making highers high there's always stop point where the traders and holders accumulating and when it shows a break outs that's the time growth rate of the coins rapidly increase in just a seconds or minutes.. So if i were you if you want to invest during bull market must have time to get the right timing to buy. Don't be hasty and be patient when it comes putting money because it's not safe if you get the bad timings because there's always a chance of losses after all.. That's your opinion, to me I try to follow the trends to profit from my investment, so am into more metaverse projects that are just being launched to participate in the private or public sale, when you take a look at the current market dip, almost all the metaverse projects are the ones pumping, just like how defi was a huge trend, metaverse  will be even more bigger trend and can give good returns of invest

I personally would not buy the big and established projects at the moment because i just can't see that they another 10x or even more in the near future and that is what i hope for when i invest into crypto because i usually only invest small amounts and when i make 10% profit of a 200$ investment then that is not bad of course but still not really that impactful. Just like you have mentioned i also mainly invest into new and upcoming projects. For that reason i am part of different Launchpads (Poolz and Duckdao) and whenever they offer a project that is really interesting to me i invest some money there. If we see a long bear market again with prices dropping 50% or more i would probably buy  ETH or BNB too.. but not now.

The strategy is very simple. You won't pay for low-quality bread or milk in the store, will you? So I think not, the cryptocurrency market has now appeared a lot of interesting and promising, fundamental projects, and not just another "animal" token.
Take a closer look at Solana, Polkadot or Near Protocol. These projects really provide great opportunities for the introduction of web3.0 to the masses, which will undoubtedly happen sooner or later.

But you have to make sure that the metaverse project is not only jumping the new hype but the team behind it has real capability to make their objectives a reality. You can get insights if they have comprehensive whitepaper and roadmap. If you see generic roadmap and unsubstantial whitepaper, think twice. Also, it is better to go for a project with working services if not at least in beta stage of their development. Most projects in alpha stage will never be completed.

Just invest what you can afford to lose. If you are planning to make long term investment, then it doesn't matter when you actually invest. You just take profits when you reach your profit goal. If you are planning on making short term investment, then don't invest during a bull run. You might end up losing a lot. The risk is high. And oh, avoid projects like the one you mentioned. I have seen a lot of people shilling for them. They sound like a scam now.

look for some new projects that have a clear benefit from the coin or token being created, look for ones whose team members have been doxxed and if using smart contracts, make sure that the smart contracts have been audited or are in the process of being audited, have a clear roadmap and whitepaper.
