Combined PoW & PoS projects

Hey All,

I can't remember which podcast I was listening to but I had a faint memory of growth in projects that were trying to combine PoW and PoS like Decred to try and unlock the scaling issues whilst keeping security paramount.

Does anyone know of any other projects that are trying to combine PoW and PoS??

Recently, I found the Horizen (ZEN) project which is combined with Proof of work - POW & Proof of Stake POS.
But on ZEN, the main chain is Proof of Work (PoW) and sidechains are Proof Of Stakes (POS).

We already how sidechains these days are powered by Proof of Stake (POS). Very cheap transaction fees and really fast.

Hi. I'm not very good at technological formulations, but I think Aurora labs did something similar. They merged the Ethereum and Near Protocol networks into one Aurora network where smart contracts and Eth tokens can be used within another ecosystem. Sounds like a combination of PoW and PoS
