Mining Eth using Phx 5.8c, amd drivers 21.10.2, Rx 580s.  Spectrum ISP in USA  Utilizing ssl://us1.ethermine.org:5555

While mining I get the following error:

"Unable to read pool response: An existing connection was forcibly closed by remote host"

So it disconnects from the pool then reconnects 5 seconds later.  Continually repeats this.

I have disabled windows firewall, set up DWORD SchStrongCrytpo prompt in registry, updated security in Java, basically all the suggestions on youtube and reddit for this error.  I continually still get the error message.  Even changed stratum servers from 5555 to 4444.  us1 and eu1.

I have moved the miner to another location with a different internet provider.  Worked perfectly... No error, but had to move the rig back to my house.

So my guess is maybe something with in the firewall of my router is severing the connection.  So my question is how do I remedy that?  The miner is a static Ip address.  Do I need to port forward or port trigger?  Seems like the connection to the server might be a IPv6 address... So don't know if that has something to do with it.

ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED!!!

Thank you in advance.

Look in file C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts. Maybe the problem is there. Try to put there pools-whitelist from minerstat.

This is a problem with the provider.
Either choose a different server or change the mining pool.
https://miningpoolstats.stream/ethereum

When I had this, I mined on a different pool, after a few days everything became normal.
Try
https://www.f2pool.com/
and change miner

Try ssl://172.65.218.238:5555 (which is IP of us1.ethermine.org).

I attempted this.  It was unsuccessful.

Also, I don't believe is has anything to do with changing pools or servers.  The reason I say this is because I took the mining rig to a different location, with a different ISP, Router, ect and it functioned perfectly without the connection being forcibly closed by remote host.

If it worked perfectly at this new location with a new service provider and router then most likely you have problem with your configuration of the router or maybe your ISP has blacklisted that IP of the server. In this case you can either use a VPN,NordVPN being one of the best although it is not free and it should work or you can make a rule in your router and firewall to allow inbound and outbound connections to the IP of the server.

Or if you think it is ipv6related disable ipv6 settings in windows to force ipv4.

If you don't use ipv6 at home you can disable it on your modem/router.
