Hello to all of you, I am experimenting with bringing a dead coin back to life. It's been dead since 4 years ago, I want to bring it back as part of an experiment. I lack enough technical specs and need help with the correct information to get this done. Thank you!

2. Look out for what reasons made it die in the first place so that all your efforts may not be wasted even though it's just experimental

Well if it’s a POW coin all you need to do is load up the wallet and hope you can find a node to connect to. If you can’t connect to a node then the blockchain will start from the beginning.

There are issues with this. One being is that if someone loads up their node and their block number is higher than yours, your entire chain will be orphaned because the longer chain is always valid.

However since you are doing this for fun, you might not get issues.

I am sure this is a very little known coin.
Instead, focus your efforts on something else.

I haven’t seen any dead coins which made a 100x move. You are most likely confusing it for legacy old coins like Dash, LTC, ZEC. Those are old but they are far from dead. They got development and nodes and miners on the network.

What he wants to do is find some abandoned coin and start mining it again. Why? No clue.
Most likely not for money since the coin is dead and not on any exchanges.

I created a website, pool, block explorer, started looking for a developer to update my wallet.
But nobody was interested in it.
By the way, icash is still traded on the Yobit exchange, but their wallet is closed for deposit, the coin network is still working.
I am thinking to stop supporting the coin and close the site, pool and explorer due to lack of user interest.

To make a coin "successful", you'd need lots of hype especially from those influencers.

Are both the deposit and withdraws disabled on Yobit? Because that exchange is famous for having many coins listed and traded however their wallets are in maintaince mode. I am still surprised why they don’t just remove all these coins with no nodes or working blockchains.

As soon as this market crashes sheeps will see what hehell crash is really like, hehell crash will not be like june 2021 crash, it will be hundreds of times for altcoins, btc will crash around 80%, eth will crash around 90% at best, at worse around 97%.

Yep both deposit and withdrawal options are showing wallet is under maintenance status. What's funny is that they always say the disabled deposits or withdrawals are temporary but the maintenance status remains there forever for most coins

Let's be honest here, I said btc would go to 79k and then crash hard, so far btc still have not got to 79k so I'm still not wrong, if btc crashes now to 10k then I was wrong, cause I said would be a last trap to 79k and I also said btc would not get to 100k, I said that the 100k btc was a bulltrap mentality and I said the same thing when trolls thought btc would crash to 9.6k and fill the cme gap and I said no, I said btc would go to 79k then crash to 10k. I think you misunderstood what I said, my point was that if btc had gone up to 79k in january or February then yes, it would have crashed hard. So, i'm still not wrong to this date. You need to understand that btc rose so fast that the crash was imminent then it stopped going up, my point is when btc was 40k, eth was 700 usd in january 2021, then eth rose very fast and btc stopped. If btc kept rising fast then all the market would have crashed hard, manipulators would never take btc to 79k or close to 100k that fast and about that I was right too. Many manipulators are also scammers too, so they need to create useless scamcoins and steal the money of sheeps, so yeah they kept milking btc when btc was bleeding to keep it afloat for their evil shady scamming schemes to stay alive, look what they did to meme coins, even doge coin had a large increase because scammers have done a great job and I have been warning trolls about holding meme coins, as soon as this cryptomarket crashes to hehell, most of them will die.

also, why not create a new one rather than trying to miraculously revive a long dead coin? basically, you will start from scratch, so why not create your own coin with all the vital things you have full control of. because if the op wants to revive an old dead coin, he may need some info from the dev. behind it, and i don't think it will be possible if the dev already abandoned the project.

I am not a programmer and therefore cannot create a new coin.
It was an experiment, I thought I could find interested people and develop the coin further.
But the community quickly disappeared, except for me the coin is not needed by anyone.
Although everything still works.
