Do you think Poker Player behavior is acceptable?

I would like to ask DT members if there is a way to see when specific threads are being locked and unlocked, because I noticed something strange, maybe it's a bug or case of alt account abuse.

On October 10 member Poker Player created a TOPIC about other member Lightlord, that is know to have serious health issues.
Fast forward more than a month ago, this topic was still kept alive mostly artificially, disregarding several members (including me) asking to lock the topic.

Interesting thing happened after that, topic was locked, and then magically unlocked just so that butthurt thin skin member could use his alt account (or his buddy) naim027 to make a post and seconds after that to lock this topic all over again.
So he enabled his alt-account (buddy) to reply to my post not allowing me to answer anything, and not only that that Poker Player even merited this post.

Please check out time and see that topic was locked second/minutes after post made by naim027, and it was locked for hours before that.
Other members who participated in that conversation could probably confirm my claims.

I'm gonna try my best LoyceV impression and suggest to grow a thicker skin and let it go. I've had some heated arguments with Poker Player but I don't really think he means any harm. Multiple users asked to lock the topic, he did it. End of story.

You don't have to be a mod for that. If you're watching the topic you get e-mail notifications. The topic was locked three times and unlocked twice. I still don't think it means anything. It's Poker Player's thread, he was asked repeatedly to lock it, do we really need to tell him now to lock it only after everyone gets their last word in... sounds a bit too much.

2) I think PP took this entire thing way to far and at this point I *think* there is something else going on and he is trying to force a confrontation with a LL and a few people who for the most part really don't give a crap. No idea why.

3) Reading the other thread again, I don't get why he got so bent out of shape unless an alt of his, is / was involved with LL or the casinos unless as I said in #2 he is trying to get a reaction for some reason.

4) As of *now* 1/2 of the last 20 posts from PP are about LL / his casinos. So make what you want from that.

Hmm.  Poker Player registered in 2020 and naim027 in 2017.  That doesn't mean the two accounts couldn't be alts, but in this case I find it unlikely based on writing style.  I know that could be faked, but I just have the feeling Poker Player didn't use an alt to make a quick reply to your post, lock the thread, and then merit his alt. 

I've been wrong before, but I think you're way off base on this one.

As others have mentioned, naim027 may have asked PP to unlock the thread so he could add to it. I have done this in the past when I wanted to add a point to a thread locked by the OP of the thread, and most of the time they let me make the post.

I do however think it is poor etiquette to re lock a thread immidiately after allowing someone to make a post in a previously locked thread. I think if you are going to allow a post to be made, you should generally allow others to respond to the thread, and add their own comments. This is especially true if the post is asking questions about (and/or accusing) someone else who was participating in the thread.

Possible variant of how the events could unfold:

- Poker Player unlocked the thread at 22.58 (for a reason known to him).
- naim027 received a notification because she was subscribed to updates and publishes a post on 23.00.
- Poker Player sees that the discussion turns into a holivar and at 23.03 blocks the thread.

Then Bob and Alice exchange mutual neutral feedback of a negative nature, and that's all, since both understand that any unreasonable red tag will entail reputational losses. Whatever it was, adding to the lists of ignoring each other seems to me the best solution if someone disagrees with someone.

OK, well you did bring it up as well as lightlord's alleged health issues, which I have my doubts about (but to respect you and this thread, that's the last mention I'll make of the latter).  If you do, in fact, have evidence of Poker Player and naim027 being alts that you could present within minutes--as you said--why don't you just do that?  It's not a witch hunt, and it would explain what everyone here is spending time speculating about.

Saying something like "Oh, I could instantly prove so-and-so are alt accounts but I just don't have time for that" is just a backhanded slap in the face to whoever it is that's being accused.  It would be better to either not make a statement like that or show the evidence if you've got it.  Just saying.

A few hours after locking the thread, I went back to log in the forum and saw that I had a message from naim027 saying that he was about to reply in the thread and that just as he was about to post I locked the thread. He asked if I could unlock it so he could post the reply. At that moment I unlocked it and I was in the forum for a while but I saw that he didn't post it and I thought that maybe he was offline. After a while I received a PM from him again, saying that he had been again about to post without being able to because I had locked it again. Anyway, I unlocked it again, he posted and I locked it again.

Nice shitpost the OP has pulled out of his sleeve. Total because some time ago he came with demands for Lightlord's thread and as I didn't pay attention to him, and on top of that I gave him weighty arguments, he ended up leaving me a false feedback, which he has left in neutral instead of negative because he knows that if he leaves it in negative it would be an abuse of the trust system.

You are wrong about this. I have said several times in the thread that I would like things to change and change Lightlord's feedback from negative to neutral. I neither seek confrontation with him or anything and in the last few posts I have said that I am afraid that he does have some serious health or personal problem because he is letting his businesses die. Nor do I have an alt involved in his casinos or anything.

I copied my post and saved it to my PC. I told the "Poker Player" I wrote a post and suddenly you locked it. I want to post there. could you please unlock one more time? What happened: We both Applied in the Same Campaign. While that guy applied a week ago. and I applied after a week. I got a Notification on November 23 Early Morning that Hhampuz just Posted there and a new position opened up. Instantly I logged in to the forum with my mobile to try. I copied previous participants Submission format and changed Merit count, post count, and profile UID. Then I posted it without changing the wallet address. I just logged in to Coinbase wallet, copied my BTC wallet address and edited that post, and replaced the wallet address.

There are literally only twelve posts between naim027's application and when @Hhampuz accepts it (just three hours after naim027 changes their post).  No one in the twelve posts makes mention of the duplicated wallet address.

The Hhampuz must be noticed that I made several changes to my post. Every time I got a merit, I edited the post and updated it.
So based on the last edited time, You cannot say that I made that change after 27 hours since I edited it after a few minutes of the post were made. LOL.
One more thing, You Noticed the wallet changes, did you intentionally miss the merit count changes?

Disregarding your speculation about the "why" and "who", none of this strikes me as unacceptable.

I was surprised by the quick escalation between you (dkbit98) and Poker Player in that topic. It made me wonder if that is based on previous encounters and not just on the topic. The attacks weren't necessary, but I do appreciate the use of (de-escalating) neutral feedback in your (plural) little feut.

For me, his post about it is enough. I don't think we should require medical records to check someone's story. And I don't think any hospital registers him as "lightlord", just like "LoyceV" won't ever get hospital papers.
I can also imagine he doesn't need additional worries about his 10 years old online reputation at this moment.

Why? What's wrong with disagreeing with someone? It sounds like snowflakism to not talk to someone again because you don't always agree with him. I'd say ignore people if you don't value their posts and never want to read them again.
