Interesting project that can be useful to some people but you need to offer something more than we can see on Coingecko website, maybe adding some taskbar coin monitoring.
It's easier and faster to open portfolio page on Coingecko, but using this software could be interesting if you don't want Coigecko to know how much coins you have and it's not associated with any email address.
I would also ask for help from other developers who can release this software for Linux OS and maybe Android OS, and think about adding some instructions info in menu.

This project was intended as a desktop variant so that the program window always stays in the same place and you don't always have to move the browser around. That you can look at the coins in the taskbar will come with an update. I will try to develop it for other platforms in the future.

• Responsive design - Apart from the three buttons at the top and the tradingview window, everything else remained the same while I was adjusting its size.
  ^{- I do know that most of the users that use such programs probably have multi-monitor setups, but there are still others that simultaneously use a few apps with a single monitor.}
• Dark mode for the main part.
• Custom alerts.

1. It may very well be that in the future I will integrate the major exchanges via API, but that will still take a while

Yeah, what I meant was something like a price widget bar that cannot be overlapped by open apps or browsers even when maximized. Something like this.



You can get some inspiration from bittab.io  The problem is its only available in windows and I don't think they have any plans for Linux.

There won't be a browser version at the moment, maybe at some point later. There are no other data sources only Coingecko because it is free. Everyone else, like CMC, wants registration or money.

It's a waste of time and there is no need for releasing browser version because Coingecko already has it's portfolio page that can be used right now and I think they also have multiple chart including tradingview.
Coingecko portfolio can be used with any browser including Firefox, Chrome and all other forks.
One more thing that could be considered is making a mobile version for Crypto Tracker but this needs much more development and there are good alternatives like Delta and FTX.

The next updates will be good and may give many a compelling reason to download, but I would have liked the lists and charts to be similar to what ---> https://cryptowat.ch/charts/KRAKEN:BTC-USD is showing.
There are many windows that show the charts, which you can control their width, height or position, so the user can compare between many charts and styles.

Also, if there are technical tips or links to video tutorials, they will be useful.

In the future, the user can link to the platform using APIs and trade directly or set alerts and others. In general, your tracker may make it better than browsers trackers.

I love the dark mode color combination with black and orange, including the option for quickly adding top coins, now you are only missing Candy collection from Coingecko
Widget bar is very cool and I like that you can click on coin to see what happened in past and all time high, maybe only some small size corrections should happen in future (slimmer option).
I will test your app in next few days and see if I notice any bugs and problems.
EDIT: First bug I saw is that I can't delete a coin from my portfolio, or atleast I don't know how, because delete button is not working from settings, it's working only from main page.

And now i'm going to holidays

You can only delete coins in main page(list view) atm. The delete button in portfolio only delete the portfolio entry, not the coin. Same in Alerts. In next version there will be a redesigned interface to improve usability.

In next version there will be a redesigned interface to improve usability.

Try to make it modular if possible, so that we could manually change and adjust size and position, especially for widget bar.
Maybe adding option - always on top yes/no switch would be a good idea.

Good to know Linux is running. Next release in AppImage for you if possible.

AppImage is great and this way crypTrax app will work in all Linux distributions, except maybe in Raspberry Pi OS, but for that you can just make arm version of appimage.
Maybe CoinGecko will hire you and make this their official dekstop application after this
