Hello, I sent UST coins from my coinbase account to a USDT ERC20 address at a different exchange as a deposit. I reached out to the receiving exchange and they are not able to help. I also reached out to coinbase , but due to the high call volume, I'm unable to get live help. I also tried submitting a ticket online , but I'm unable to get the ticket submitted ( it keeps saying that the amount, email or hash address is incorrect).

Is there any way i could get this transaction reversed or at least sent back to the original sending address? Is it anything I could do at all?

This is it. if they can't help you and im sorry for your lose. You need to always double check before try to send anything.

Is there any way i could get this transaction reversed or at least sent back to the original sending address?
It's not possible reverse your transaction as blockchain was irreversible, any transactions that already confirmed by the block will be permanent and it can't be recovered. The only party who has access to the privatekey will able to help you in this case. that's coinbase.

Is it anything I could do at all?
It's wrong if you were asking coinbase to help it but the only party that will able to recover your transaction must be exchange site who hodl the receiving address. They have privatekey that stored in their database. Any wallet that generated in the exchange site will have privatekey generated in their client or database.

I am really sorry about this. Please remember that if you send tokens that are not supported on this chain or exchange (project) you will just lose them. And you can return them only when this token appears on it. If it was a wrong standart, there is no way to you to recover it. As support team didn't manage to help you, I think that you will not recover your money, please be careful next time Sad

I reached out to the receiving exchange and they are not able to help.
If you sent an enormous amount, you better double-check their ToS, see if they really can't get the fund back.

Is there any way i could get this transaction reversed or at least sent back to the original sending address? Is it anything I could do at all?
Nope, cryptocurrencies do not work this way, any confirmed transaction within the blockchain won't be reversible, well it theoretically can, but in your case, there is nothing you can do.

Is it anything I could do at all?
If you think the amount is worth to getting back, as I said it first, try to examine the ToS, see whether the exchange stated any wrong payment information or statement about it. If they are able to help, sometimes there are fees required to get the funds back, and it might take a long process and I think you have to deal with KYC and that kind of stuff. Or if the exchange can't help, then there is nothing you can do but to learn it as a lesson.

Before withdrawing, there must have been a warning to pay attention to the choice of network or address because user error is not the responsibility of the exchanger, so it seems that there is no way to recover your assets.

In this case coinbase can't do anything, they just transferred the funds where you wanted but the exchange you deposited can help because they have the control of keys to your wallet and if it's that they said no then yes there is no way to recover you have to make sure that you never repeat the same mistake again.

UST is on the Terra network, and ERC20 is the Ethereum network. So I think the address is already different, so your transaction cannot be returned.

Have you checked it again? do your own research carefully. https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/terrausd/

UST have some smartcontracts that build in the different blockchain and UST ERC20 is still exist right now. I would like to say that if you must read whole of information carefully. It seems like that you can't even find that on CMC but it's there lol.

So what do you see then? UST has some smartcontracts build in ethereum, BSC, Terra ecosystem.

Sorry bud but I think it's totally lost. You sent a different coin to an address which resulted in not showing the amount. But I think there are exchanges who uses similar address to all ERC20 coins. If you sent your TERRAUSD (UST) coins to an exchanges who do this, then probably you can still have it. You can check it actually in your wallet. But not all exchange do this so its really better to check the address and the ticker first if all is right. That's the problem with exchanges. Not your keys, not your coins.

Try as much as possible to reach out to the receiving exchange. Its their duty now since the buck has ended up at their table. Get their support page and get across to them. Coinbase won't do much for you since the asset left their site

ToS is an abbreviation of Term of Service, you agreed to it when you are registering into the exchange. Well, it is known and usual that if most people didn't comprehend it anyway. If I might ask, on what exchange does you have the issue?

AFAIK, major exchange sometimes accepting to help and recover a wrongfully sent coin. If the customer service said so and on the agreements there is no things that handle regarding a wrongful cryptocurrencies transaction. Then it's likely that your token is losts.

Thats great news! so next time you should learn with that experience of yours, You must check first all of the necessary information if possible make it twice just to make sure that you are doing the right thing before you are doing any transaction whether it's deposits or withdrawals. because depositing and withdrawing on any platform nowadays has needed more focus and attention because of the interoperability of the popular Blockchains. which makes it more complicated.

It will be very difficult if a coin is already in two different networks and there is someone who made the wrong transaction with it even though the complaint can be made through the team or the exchange party who has to accept it.

Once the transactions at another Blockchain address are accidentally confirmed, it is not possible to recover the funds.  Because the Ethereum Blockchain is so fragmented, it's impossible to find that specific address, just as it is impossible to find an Alpin in a sea with a knife.

This is really great news for you as you are able to have backed your funds after doing some big mistake because in my case Poloniex reject any help and I have straight forward reply from them, they never give back funds in this case even this was big amount. But I was sure about few exchanges which are giving back these funds, but some have fine and some need gas fees so in your case this happens which is really appreciated from them now it's a big lesson for you just double-check before doing any transfer because it's massive issue and many times we have to lost things for nothing take care.

Very well done! and salute for the support in concern in your case, by system, you must lose your fund actually, but by the support do, your fund will get back to you safely.
I suggest to you to be more careful next day, some other exchanges didn't have the generosity of policies like your experienced.
